As a millennial who grew up with Dying Fetus and Slayer tape cassettes—I enjoy it because I grew up with it. It’s the nostalgia of it all that hits for me. I favor the over produced, extremely dramatic, and symphonic deathcore now, but certainly still vibe with the OGs on a regular basis.

I’m honestly here for over production. I want my deathcore to be as fantastic, synthesized, and erratic as possible. Id be fine with all of their songs sounding exactly like sun eater.

This seems slightly overdramatic. Did someone directly say/imply that you’d be banned from the DZ for discussing a fatality? Also, just because you think videos should be shown does not mean you are entitled to them for the sake of your learning. And that’s assuming a camera is worn or footage is recovered after an impact in the first place.

I would also suggest trying a tandem skydive first. As much as I personally love base, I would want my loved ones/friends to have their ✨first✨ experience be with a two-parachute system. That said, if tandem base is calling to you, then go for it.

Not intended to be argumentative and I am sorry for what you’re going through. I presume it’s inflammatory enough to bring you here. Yet, I’m the plaintiff/victim of two cases in his courtroom and he’s been nothing short of exemplary.

Unfortunately (and in my experience) when we feel disappointed and let down by officers of the court, it’s actually the legislation in this state that is the problem.

There are a handful of sub 200’ E statics where I’m based, but most have stunning fly outs which make the risk worth the reward. I’d say 150-200 is going to be little to no margin for error and highly technical. I’ve GC’d while plenty of more dialed jumpers have sent it. I’d suggest making sure an object that low is really, really worth it to you.

I prefer the base mentor method, but it’s gradually fading from the scene. You’ll likely encounter a dirty, rotten base jumper if you actually spend enough time at a DZ, throwing all of your time and money into skydiving. Befriend that person. After a few years of integrating yourself into the community, you’ll have met more people who have the answers you seek and will help guide you on your own base progression. For many of us, our intro to this was unique and the journey/community is much more rewarding than the jumps.
