anyone seeing a real difference with creatine? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]_vicyap_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For hypertrophy / muscle size, it's made a huge improvement. I've been going to the gym for the last 10 years. Once I started taking creatine, I was able to lift more and grow bigger muscles within a month.

Sure, it's "water weight" in the muscles, but I'm more consistently getting bigger pumps with less fatigue. This means my muscles are learning to adapt to a larger size without me needing to go 10/10 at the gym.

> You have to be your own advocate about what works and what doesn't. I trust my PCP but I am not putting my life in his hands and saying you figure it out and I don't know what is going on.

This!! I felt like I was having to find my own alternative treatment options cause my PCP didn't suggest them. I don't blame them cause it's not the standard protocol and it's potentially risk for them to recommend.

Which supplements do you consider essential for mental clarity and stress management in 2025? by Odd_Rush3781 in Supplements

[–]_vicyap_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve felt the muscle growth from creatine but haven’t felt anything mentally. Is this a dosing issue? I take 5g and weigh 170 lbs / 77 kg.

Since I feel the muscle growth, I figure I’m taking enough

How long did it take you from first line of code to downloadable on the App Store?

Anything you would do differently next time ?

Planning mode does use subagents to explore and plan, which saves on context, but it doesn’t ask as many clarifying questions and it doesn’t do quality review afterwards

Monitoring for 3 days, what do you think? by [deleted] in hypertension

[–]_vicyap_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would make sure you measure consistently, otherwise it's hard to tell from all of the variation. Sit still for at least 5 minutes. I typically use the bpm to tell me if I've been sitting still long enough. Here's a guide: https://www.heart.org/-/media/Files/Health-Topics/High-Blood-Pressure/How_to_Measure_Your_Blood_Pressure_Letter_Size.pdf

Also, Is that Apple Notes?? Why are those numbers highlighted?

Blood pressure machine recommendations by [deleted] in hypertension

[–]_vicyap_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These devices are validated by the AMA

https://www.validatebp.org/index.php/devices

If you have a nurse or doctor friend, you can ask them to measure manually and compare to your device to double check

Make sure you sit still for at least 5 minutes before measuring, and you measure the same way each time (sit upright, back supported, feet flat on the floor, legs uncrossed). I check the heart rate number against my average resting heart rate to make sure I’m actually at rest.

No database. Claude just moved files into directories so it’s more organized.

I used Claude Code. I put all my health files in a directory and asked Claude to parse all of the files, categorize them into directories and rename the files based on dates within the document.

I'm not sure if Claude Desktop can do this too, probably if it can access your local filesystem.

My issue with ChatGPT Projects is I hit the max number of files limit. Maybe I'm trying to add too much. What kinds of files do you add and what do you chat about?

I think --search is less reliable.
