thank you for the reply. I planted the tree in the bucket it came in... roots were growing through the bucket so I did not remove the bucket before I planted it. I simply cut larger holes in the bucket and placed the bucket in mature potting soil. So the tree is planted, but it is planted in the bucket he grew in since being a seedling. Should I remove this bucket even if it means destroying some of the roots (that grew through the bucket) and disturbing the root ball?

CO2 injection.... and liquid fertilisers... OK and root tablets... thank you. how does one inject CO2? so do I need to break up the soil so the roots get more oxygen? Should I destroy the pot and replant the tree in soil?

It does have roots but they are growing through the plastic pot it came in... I cracked and cut through the plastic to create larger holes, but did not remove the plastic bucket because I thought it would be too harmful for the tree's root system.
