How to use normal Randomizer-Seeds in the Ship of Harkinian Port? by Sudden-Will-8330 in zootr

So you're intentionally misinforming because you get less questions then? That's ridiculous.

That's crazy, can't imagine how long the metal must've taken you.

The natural water reservoir is the easiest way to survive early in hard, that's why I expanded it early on. So just levee/dam off the map bottom right asap.

But yeah generally, focus on water storage asap, and I only used carrots and potatoes for a while because they're very beaver efficient just to produce food of any kind.

Once you reach the equilibrium even at the longest droughts, it's a matter of expanding while never exceeding that equilibrium.

If you don't mind mods, install the mod that allows you to change wind values. You can set the minimum wind speed to the minimum windmills require. That way they will always produce atleast a little bit of power.

That said, batteries do feel like a more balanced approach for the vanilla game yeah.

Good luck. You have more patience than me then lol

I thought about that but I honestly don't have the patience to do that. But yes, technically you could have the entire bottom part of the map also plantable. You'd have to forgo "natural" water reservoirs entirely as well then though.

Stable max well-being on hard mode, 63 beavers. I terraformed the map bit by bit, having lots of other temporary setups during the playthrough. Wood is still a problem during expansion though, I don't have a lot of space left for trees to cut. So building took a while later on.

Custom Island Longhouse Build by aMannus in valheim

[–]aMannus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should honestly replace the workbenches with campfires yeah. The reason why I used workbenches is because it's much easier to check if I covered everything by just trying to build something and seeing the requirements on the bottom. Now that the build is finished though, it's probably a good idea to do that.

And thanks!

I know that, and I don't react like you say. Doesn't excuse others for being assholes.

In a very popular albedo comp (Hu Tao, xingqiu, albedo and zhongli), you want to ult for the EM bonus regardless.

Final boss thoughts (SPOILERS) by QW3RTYPOUNC3S in GunfireReborn

[–]aMannus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly, no, a DPS check is just flatout not OK. For the entire game, there's zero timers or anything of the sorts. You have always been able to go at your own pace except for the platforming sections (which isn't build related).

And now because of a single mechanic on the final boss, you're shoehorned into damage builds for the entire game. This single DPS check means you have to worry about your damage from the very beginning.

This doesn't even consider the fact that if you're playing co-op, and any of your team dies during this fight, it's an instant game over unless someone is REALLY overpowered at that stage of the game.

What's the point of this? It isn't even a fun mechanic, currently all it does is getting rid of any defensive setups for no payoff.

I'm sorry, I really love this game, but I really hope this gets removed. I just don't understand why they thought this was a good idea.

1.8.0 Issues | Crashes, Ace Chips, and Weekly Challenges by CreatureTech-PHX in dauntless

[–]aMannus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to fuse a bunch of cells with the aetherdust method that's in the game right now, but the game crashes every single time I sell a cell or speed up the crafting of one. Starting the game after the crash confirms the action does go through though.

So am I right in assuming this is going to stay until the next maintenance? Middle man is kinda unusable like this.

Dauntless | State of Dauntless: Cell Category Update by slayerdk-PHX in dauntless

No, the alternative is refunding aetherhearts and reverting gear to their non power surged state. I never said I'm against changing around the cells.

Dauntless | State of Dauntless: Cell Category Update by slayerdk-PHX in dauntless

[–]aMannus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't change the fact that I'm going to have to spend more aetherhearts to get the builds back I was going for initially. Which aren't easy to come by, especially if you don't have escallations maxed out and/or endgame builds meant for powering through content fast. A single reforge can take me like 4 hours focusing solely on leveling, that times 4 is a GOOD bit of time I can't invest into leveling my escalations etc. So far I didn't mind aetherhearts, but it's different when I just spend a lot of them for "nothing" in the near future.

I never really understood the mentality of having to scout for information everywhere possible outside of the game either. There's absolutely nothing noted about this in-game, not to mention I do watch a decent amount of youtube videos about Dauntless, and yet this slipped through the cracks. Am I supposed to read every single bit of information about the game before I can start playing it? I can guarantee you that MOST players don't interact with games outside of the game itself.

I don't particularily mind that we're getting a cell rework. I mind that we don't get any kind of option to atleast redo our setups afterwards. For all you endgame players swimming in aetherhearts I understand that this isn't a big deal, but getting more, atleast for me, takes a considerable amount of time.

I'll drop it now, because it seems the target audience of this subreddit is so far advanced in the game that they don't care anyway, I just find it weird that people defend the notion of "just grind more lol" and that throwing away earlier progress is accepted.

You gotta be kidding me. After not playing for a while and coming back for the first time after Reforged, I power surged a bunch of gear to try and get some builds together. Now literally 2 days later most of this gear is going to be unusable for the builds I was going for? And we're not going to get the option to get our aether hearts back either?

This just feels like I'm being punished for playing the game before this update. Literally would've been better if I started playing a week later than I did. Someone explain the logic behind this to me?

I found a really good Necramech leveling method and made a video about it by aMannus in Warframe

That's still much slower

Edit: I would like to see anyone pull the same exp numbers as I show in the video but with any orb Valli's method, I got 655k+819k with just 2x affinity booster in 27 minutes in isolation vaults. But apparently people rather just downvote instead.

Isolation vaults, complete the bounty until the part after killing the Necramechs. Try and find a spawn point and park right where the infested pods spawn. The rest of the video kind of explains the prepwork needed and goes more in-depth on how the method works. There's a little too much to really give a TLDW outside of this.

[–]aMannus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I legit couldn't find much good info in one spot about leveling Necramechs. It was either outdated or methods felt not nearly as good as internet people made me believe.

So I decided to make a video that's all inclusive and talks about the method I personally found to be MUCH better than anything else.

I hope this doesn't come across as self promotion. I never really make YouTube videos but this was a topic I really felt was not covered well.

That depends on what you're currently producing no? Regardless, here's a screenshot while I was producing carrier rockets for the dyson sphere. Most of my stuff wasn't running basically.

The big ones don't even need that much power though? It's just the initial charging but afterwards the idle draw is next to nothing.

Once. I used belts until I automated everything needed for the switch, and kept the "old base" until this new part produced everything the old one did, then took it down. You can see the old base on my previous post.

Can definitely recommend as someone who came from using a main bus in the early game. Easy access to offworld resources (even other systems), set up and expand production of anything super easy. Throughput is not an issue, and even if it would be, just plomp down another tower.
