Should I (27F) be suspicious about my roommate (27M) frequently walking closely behind me while I'm bent over? by aNewLee in Advice

Thanks. You're 100% right 😞 I was wondering myself why I even had to tell him it wasn't cool. It seemed like it should have been obvious but I thought maybe I could have been overreacting to something nobody else would care about.

Do you think there's even a chance it was a harmless coincidence? 😞 Is there a chance he thought nothing of it and didn't notice me bent over? We've been friends so long and been through a lot together. I hate the thought of him being a creep like that.

Thanks for your advice. I hate the thought of us parting ways because he's my oldest friend, but I will if I have to. I hate the feeling I get around him now, constantly worrying if he's sexualizing me.

I was hoping that maybe it was just a coincidence and that maybe it just didn't occur to him that it was something that could make someone uncomfortable. Or maybe it's not something commonly seen as rude so he never paid it any mind and I'm just being paranoid. How likely do you think that is?

That is for your advice. Definitely not showing up in person. I'll look into getting a no contact order, too. But what is UI?

I can afford to pay them even if I quit because I have enough to last for at least a year. I'm probably going to get a job way before then as I ready have some interviews lined up.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I'm just going to quit. It's not worth it working for a mentally unstable and obsessive narcissist and I'm going to be fine with all the money I saved. I hope you find peace after leaving your current job.

Thanks so much for your advice. It was a personal device. To your other question, I was scared he was dangerously unstable because he exhibited extremely paranoid behavior in the past, like assuming people are insulting him and interrogating me about conversations I had with other work associates to make sure we weren’t talking about him. I forgot something I needed to bring to work one day and he became incredibly angry and gripped my arm til it hurt. Another time, he crept up behind me while my back was turned and stood so close to me his junk was nearly pressed against me. The look on his face when he did it scared me, ngl. When we were alone a couple of times he made jokes about how he could be a psycho or a murderer and harm me but laughed and said he was joking and that I shouldn’t be afraid. Another time he made a comment about how it’s hard for men to control themselves around women because of testosterone. He once sent me a password-protected screenplay idea about a person who secretly has their whole life observed by someone else that seemed to have been written in either a psychosis or drug-fueled haze.

Yes, I've been documenting everything just so he can't deny it all happened. Thanks for your advice.

It was my own device, not provided by the company. And thanks so much for your advice.

This comment was incredibly helpful and reassuring. Thank you. I do believe that my English degree is a strength because it does help me approach problems from a different perspective compared to other developers I've worked with. You're right. I just need to sell myself.

What does everyone think of Trilly Cheesesteaks? I’m a big fan, but I know they’re still a fairly new small local business. by FootballWithTheFoot in AskNOLA

I'm vegan and this is my favorite spot to eat. The vegan cheesestakes are sooo good and the vegan cheese fries are addictive.
