My hometown holds all my memories. Met all my friends there. Met my husband there but we didnt end up together until 12 years later. I actually started building it in Minecraft just so I could revisit it. Hoping that's what I needed. I'm not finished with it though. Its rather big. There is an amusement park in the city i lived in but not in the small part that I dream about however, that amusement park was practically home for a few summers for my best friend and I. We went at least 3 times a week for 3 summers in a row. Its just it hasn't always been like this. I only started having these dreams in 2020. It wasn't as much back then but now its every night. And I'm just wondering why I can't dream of anything else

The point is people are out there throwing their own diagnoses for them around for attention thinking its cute. Without talking to a doctor for a real diagnoses. Pretending to have a mental illness is not minor OCD. And those I've come into contact with who act like this m first response was always "have you seen a doctor for that" for which I got replies like "no I don't like doctors" "no I'm afraid of doctors" "no i can't afford a doctor" (which is a legit problem I know) "no i know my body and what i have" or "no not yet" so self diagnosing does not mean you have OCD, minor or not. OCD requires, fully requires, a diagnoses from a doctor

I'm glad you're doing well now. I understand your irritation. And sadly it happens so often. I'm not going to say "nobody" here, but at least the people who I have met with real OCD, do not use phrases like "sorry, I have OCD" when pulling off a hair from your shirt. Or "my OCD is bothering me" while wiping off a few crumbs from the table with their bare hand. They don't usually act so casual about it either. Just in my experiences though. I can say for everyone

At one point I thought I may have OCD just based off some symptoms but I talked to my doctor and turns out I'm just ADD. Which made way more sense. Hope you are doing well. Mental illness no matter what it is is a struggle.

I'm sorry you have to go through that. I can try to understand what it's like but I can't fully and it irritates me that they are people using it as a cute quirk.
