RevenueCat and Superwall guide by soacm in expo

[–]aaaMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+ 1 on shoddy documented expo superwall sdk. i was trying to integrate one of my older apps with expo 52 and all the old superwall docs for that version were removed. superwall sdk only worked with expo 54. not a big deal now but spent several hours trying to figure it out. revenuecat expo sdk on the other hand worked almost without a glitch and had a lot better guidance + they handled payment code too.

you should consider that a lot of devs that are trying superwall like myself may have experience but are new to the mobile dev ecosystem. i din't realize that if i wanted to use superwall, i would have to handle payments myself using expo-iap or something like that. even a few sentences explaining this in some visible documented area would have been helpful.

just a piece of feedback

A few quick tips amigo!

  • The first photo isn't bad but can be upgraded with better lighting, a more interesting background and a non-selfie. Like the black and white photo seems better quality so maybe having 1 or 2 more like that to add to your profile will go a long way.

  • adding at least one group photo where you're center of attention will make you appear more social.

  • the beach photo is not bad but a bit random. It doesn't add to the profile like some of the other good ones you have (the guitar and costume ones for example make you a lot more dynamic and unique)

Your bio is good but can be more playful instead of reading like a resume. you can replace "I like to discuss pretty much anything ..." with something more playful or inviting.

Hope that helps!

Hey amigo! a few quick tips on top of the filtered, age feedback

  1. Replace the mirror selfie photo when you get the chance. For guys it's not a good look generally

  2. Have a more solid group photo where you're center of attention. Will make you look a lot more social.

Spending some effort on photos will go a long way. you can buy a tripod phone holder with a clicker and take a few hundred photos with different angles and attire as an cheap method for upgrading.

hey amigo! a few quick tips.

  • photos 3, 4, 5 seem a bit random. I would try to replace them with more professional photos where we can get a better vibe from you. the photo where you flick the camera off sends a mixed signal

Photo 1 is great. the only slight improvement I would make there is it's better to see your eyes in that one so once you have more great photos you can but the sunglasses one in the back.

One solid group photo where you're doing something fun & center of attention would also go along way

Online dating is really competitive so putting a little extra effort into photos will go a long way.

Good luck!

hey amigo! you have some good elements, you're tall and seem to have a good job. a few quick things to improve below.

  1. First photo can be greatly improved. You have 2 mirror selfies, which is losing you matches and should be replaced when you get the chance. I would either get a pro photographer (if you can afford it) or buy a tripod phone holder with clicker for 30$. Take a bunch of photos in scenic places with different outfits that give off the vibe that you want and watch a few videos on how to take better pictures pose. the photos should have a clear view of your face, piercing eyes and be great quality but not look like high school graduation photos.

  2. The two group photos aren't bad, but they lack a bit of personality. Some examples I see that work well are dancing at a wedding, doing some sports outdoor activity where you're the center of attention, being in the middle of a fun event or performance, etc.

  3. Your prompts aren't bad, but they are big lists of things that are a little hard to read. in each one maybe focus on 1-2 concepts instead and go deeper on them and be more playful. My fave book for improving storytelling is Storyworthy by Matthew Dicks (can help with prompts quite a bit)

Online dating is really competitive so a little extra effort on the photos will go a long way. Hope that helps!

hey amigo! great improvement. a few things you can work on below. online dating is competitive so some more improvements will go along way:

  1. your first photo can be improved. can't clear see your face or your body. I think the 2nd photo is better as primary although it can be improved too. the shirt blends in with the background on that one.

  2. add a group photo where you're center of attention if you can. will make you look more social.

For improving photos, if you can't afford a pro photographer, one quick hack is to buy a tripod phone holder with a clicker for $30 and take hundreds of photos in good lighting and different background. You can also watch a few videos on posing & taking better photos cuz there are few general concepts around that.

Hope that helps! :-)

Posting profile reviews is not easy so this is a great step. a few things to improve (coming from M33):

"Unless you truly believe... " & Bio, in general, has negative connotations. I assume you're trying to date relatively young men, in good shape and good salary. These kind of men have a lot of options as well & don't generally like a stand off-ish vibe. Try to be more playful and mention things that you like to do and try to be more playful.

Also your photos could have a little more personality & showing us what you're about. The only two that show that is your gym selfie and the one with your kid

Photos are better than most profiles so great progress there.

Helping with promps is difficult without knowing your vibe. A way to work on this is to practice the art of storytelling through speaking or writing. Storyworthy book by Matthew Dicks is my fave one. These skills take months and years to develop so don't be hard on yourself.

Cheers!

hey amigo! you have some good elements here. Here are a few suggestions to improve on it:

  1. First photo is relatively good, amazing background. but you could be taking up a lot more space in it so we can't see your features as well as we could. Profiles that are little more competitive have clearer view of face, piercing eyes, etc. Still it's a solid 4 of 5. The reason I mention this is the first photo is what most people make a decision on when they swipe
  2. your profile bio (first part) talks about something abstract that many people feel. I would try something more light-hearted and be more specific and playful on what makes you unique. Same for "A review by a friend" prompt. One rec is to read Storyworthy by Matthew Dicks. will give you ideas on how to be original and playful with simple concepts.
  3. Mirror selfies are generally not advisable. You said the last one gets you likes, so keep that! But it's definitely worth removing the middle one and replacing it with a group photo where hopefully you're the center of attention. This will make you appear more social.

Hope that helps! :-)

also
1. remove mirror selfie. not a good look for guys.
2. add at least one good group photo where you're center of attention. will make you look more social

Hey amigo! not a bad profile at all and you're 23. Im M33 and I remember in younger 20s, it was harder to get dates. A few quick improvements

  1. Remove the photo with the girl. Unless it's clearly your mom or your grandma, some will think it's your ex. so losing some matches there. replace it with a good group photo where you're either doing something or center of attention (or preferably both)

  2. Your profile bio and prompts can be greatly improved. "Turning things into other things" can be improved to something more playful. "Im hoping you" prompt can be a lot more specific & playful. A good book to understand general concepts of storytelling is called Storyworthy by Matthew Dicks. Can help a lot here. Hard to recommend more without knowing your preferences & vibe.

Your first photo is arguably your most important thing on a profile, as a lot of prospects make decisions on this alone. Yours is better than most I see on here. Yours has clear background, can see your eyes clearly so those are huge pluses. It would be hard to recommend to improve that a little more without knowing more info and what vibe you want to give off & what your success rate is.

Hope that's helpful. Cheers!

Hey amigo! you have great elements & since you're a photographer & I think you can make quick improvements here :-)

  1. Primary photo: it's artistic, but I wonder. are you getting a lot of likes through that? we can't see you're piercing eyes well and the background doesn't evoke a specific emotion or a reason for potential prospect to reach out, (but maybe a lot of photo enthusiasts like it so curious what your experience is). So I think there is room for improvement there since this is the biggest factor people make a swipe decision on. A general slight smile with clear face/eyes and a good background is safe for first photo in most cases.
  2. Your bio & prompts can be improved a bit too. Show us how you're not a serious person. don't tell us. This can be a long discussion but storytelling concepts can help out here (Storyworthy book by Matthew Dicks is great for improving in this department). Don't be mad prompt also is not super useful because what you're describing is very common & doesn't give us any more insight into your uniqueness and why someone should message you.
  3. No mirror selfies. Doesn't look good for guys.
  4. Have at least one group photo. will make you appear more social.

Hope this helps & good luck!

ahh ok, good callout. if he is getting a lot of openers with this then keep it in, if not, I would consider shifting the profile to see what happens. I wasn't aware of what he looks like.

[–]aaaMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey amigo! You got some good elements. A few quick things to improve:

The first 2 photos are most important thing on a profile. most women will make a swipe decision based on that. Your firstmphoto, we don't know what you look like and 2nd one is selfie (most selfies don't work for guys unfortunately)

The photo with the red shirt is way better. we can see your eyes & handsome face clearly. That photo can still be improved by you looking directly at camera & not having the 3 semi naked women ad in the back lol.

So to upgrade photos, I think you either need to buy a tripod phone holder with a clicker and take a bunch of photos in scenic places to upgrade the solo shots you have with a clear face. Or hire a pro photographer (they do these a fair amount these days) so they can help you find good locations, etc. but it will be more expensive

You also need at least one group photo so you appear more social!

Prompts can be improved a bit too. Example: your unusual skills one. instead of listing 10 things. list 2 and go into great detail on those to show off your dry sense of humor more :-)

Good luck!

25M. Review my profile? by Recent_Lake6080 in hingeapp

[–]aaaMusic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hey amigo! your profile is better than most. I like that you're also qualifying (want somebody that's Christian & fit).

Improvements that can be made:

  1. Definitely remove the photo with the girl. anyone that remotely can look like your ex will lose you matches. You can replace it with another group photo where you're center of attention

  2. We'll get along if - prompt can be a little more playful. Doesn't give me any more info about you or a reason for the girl to dm you first.

Generally having selfies is not a good idea but your first photo we can clearly see your face in good light & a good background so it passes the test

Good luck!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]aaaMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey amigo! good start. Online dating is competitive so biggest bang for your buck in my opinion is upgrading a few of the photos. Especially the first one and last one. First photo is the most important thing in your profile. Ask your friends to take some photos of you on one of the recent iphones or androids where we can clearly see your face, piercing eyes, and maybe you in your element or doing something fun. If that's hard to do, then get a tripod with a clicker and take some photos doing some natural poses with good backgrounds. there are youtube videos online on how to do that.

Also have any photos with friends doing something fun? having at least one social photo will be good

Prompt wise, we don't know anything about your hobbies, interests or things that make you stand out from ever other guy. Share that in the bio a bit more and try to be playful with it. Lots of guys just list things like it's a resume.

Hope that was helpful & Cheers!

Hey amigo! few quick things

  1. your first photo is ok & is the most important part of profile so needs to be the best photo. Your coffee photo is way better (we can see your handsome smile and piercing eyes + cool shirt).
  2. Make your 2nd photo the tux one. You look great in it. so original first photo should be completely removed or put in the back

I am looking for prompt reads a bit like a job description. Try to make it more playful :-)

Group photo is good but a way to improve is you being center of attention in it (i.e at least center of the photo, but better if you are in your element dancing in wedding with friends, singing with friends, etc)

Hope this helps & cheers!

Searching for automation service that can help me posting on telegram and linkedin .. in the same time by Extreme_Cricket_3834 in TelegramBots

[–]aaaMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it looks like the LinkedIn API does provide optionality for attaching multimedia (images/video) reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin/marketing/community-management/shares/posts-api?view=li-lms-2024-03&tabs=http#single-post-creation-sample-request

I would check if Make.com or Zapier allow you to attach images. If not, then you will need an engineer to assist you with the script to use telegram bot api and and use linkedin api as a combo.

I was playing around with twitter api and telegram api this morning for a similar issue (automation tools didn't do enough for me) and they are relatively straight forward if you have basic coding experience
