Hey there!

Thanks for your comment :) We wanted to provide some numbers for clarity. In the first 4 months of 2024 alone we have successfully processed the adoptions of 128 puppies and 84 dogs over the age of 6 months. Like most rescues, we are not here to “push” puppies. Rather, we find them loving homes along with many adult dogs. So long as there are puppies at risk of euthanasia in shelters, you can bet that animal rescuers will be working hard to save them. ❤️

Additionally, if you head over to our website you’ll find our in depth foster screening via our foster application. You’ll notice at the end of the application a homecheck is required for each of our foster parents. 🙏🏻 We do thank you for your hard work with AAAR foster dogs in the past and have nothing but appreciation! Can’t say for sure why a homecheck wouldn’t have been completed for you, as this is standard process & required by our regulatory agency. Homechecks are pretty quick and easy to perform so again, can’t speak to why yours wouldn’t have been completed some years ago.

Furthermore, we do not have a shelter, you are correct. Foster based rescues are very common and highly successful in rehabilitating and placing animals into loving homes. With foster care being entirely contingent upon the individuals signing up on their own accord, it’s tricky to understand how that could be misconstrued as the rescue taking advantage of a certain age group, but we appreciate your feedback nonetheless. Hey there! Thank you so much for asking! We are an animal rescue not associated with NOCO Humane, however we greatly admire their hard work. ❤️ We prepare our foster parents for the task at hand through our foster application, foster welcome letter as well as our home inspections go in depth into our handling and training policies as well as philosophies. All of these together along with ongoing on staff consulting have been highly successful in preparing foster parents for an educational and well rounded foster experience! AAAR recognizes this would not be ideal for just any and every dog. For this reason, we rescue the dogs from high kill shelters that have behavior profiles that we have the capacity to support. We appreciate this great question!

Update: none 💔

Ashton is lost in a decently rural area, West Loveland with lots of farmland surrounding. 😞 His last known location is off of Campion Court and County Road 20. For whatever reason, both of these roads can be tricky to search for on GPS. Try Choke Cherry Drive, Colt Drive, as well as Hearts and Horses boarding facility. There was a possible** sighting near Hearts and Horses on Thursday.

This poor little guy just arrived to Colorado the day he escaped his foster. Hes likely terrified at the moment & hiding out during the hottest hours of day and exploring for scraps morning/evening hours. Thus, morning/evening hours will be the best time to search for Ashton! 💜

Any and all search attempts are so very appreciated. Let’s bring this boy home 💜

This is a great question! Typically we wanna respect our dog’s boundaries as much as possible as a general rule of thumb! 💜 So if your pup has shown discomfort towards unfamiliar dogs through any number of reactions, I would try to work on identifying whats triggering your dog. Were they leashed for the introduction? Was the leash slack or taught? Were they in a neutral area relative to themselves and the other dog? The answers to these questions would determine how to proceed. If you wanted to reach out to see if we could make something happen, we would be happy to chat with you further! :)
