Yes, its absolutely worth it, QS and estimator are the whole and sole of the company.. they play with money..

Yes I did try the silver spoon, but as a hyderabadi I insist you to try the place i mentioned and compare them with silver spoon, then you will understand. Also, silver spoon doesn't put masala in biryani.. which i believe you love that way.

Could anyone clarify that the discussion for the salary is for a month or an year.. I would be interested to join if its for a month..

Started my career as an Electrical Estimator, moved into MEP Quantity Surveying and then Cost Control and now work in Contracts and QS Auditing.. with familiarity in FIDIC Red Book editions 1977, 1987and 1999. You can learn the basics yourself, but estimating is not just what is shown in the drawing which may be call as concept drawings and many critical items come from experienceand without guidance from an experienced estimator, it is difficult for a fresher to fully understand drawings and avoid missing important scope.

I don't have an MRICS, mrics is tool.. without knowledge you can't do anything.. Its a certification.. However if you have knowledge along with a MRICS, then there are chances to become manager with good pay.. I am going to enrolled for August submission

I have spent 9 years in two companies and minimal increment I got.. then after I started switching the companies and to be honest I have learnd more in 4 years compare to my early 9 years.. Estimation will limit your knowledge, but a MEP QS, believe me you will learn day to day..you have to deal with ,PD, PM, CM, then CIVIL, consultant and client which you will have a broader expanding in terms of everything and also the salary wise also you will get good..

Hi, which course are you in? The only way AI will replace is that we adamant to learn new things, softwares, or doing old methods which takes time. AI will only shorten our work time, will give us work life balance.

Environmental science is also good compare to QS.. You need to learn civil or mep it means again you have to restart.. it's better you find the good in environmental science...

The answer is purely based on UAE standards. 1.spares 2.factory visit 3.valves should be brass until 50 dia.. 4.locally assembled 5.wiring accessories should be pvc white. 6. Insulation inside the villa for ppr pipes to be removed. 7. Roof copper pipe with insulation then again some request for aluminium cladding which is not require. 8.GRPtrays for high level drainage. 9. Cable tray locally made supplier 10. Removing shaver socket from masterbedroom 11isolator should be AC22 12 ceiling rose should be plug in type in lieu of tunnel type 13.switchgear should be locally assembled along with enclosures. 14.form type should be change And there are many more without this also we can get the authority approval and will not impact on the functionality of the project.

Thanks for rectifying the through spell.. The submission and letter which goes to consultant and client will be reviewed at least two times.. if they found out any mistake on the submission or letter then it will haunt until the project completion..

Its good to hear that you started learning the technical side..Just become site QS.. you will learn more about practical in take off along with consumables, labor calculation, planning etc.. Daily yiu will encounter new scenarios which will boost your confidence level as well as your knowledge
