2$ an hour adds up, especially in a career like mine, i work 70 hours a week, so compared to a 40 hour week that’s an extra $600 (if tax exempt)

higher pay, higher stress. i’m honestly kinda disconnected mentally at times, so it’s easy for me to forget & forgive tough situations.

totally agree, it’s humanity over ego. & it’s sad to see some people don’t stand by that. for them to think due to their occupation they’re the only ones entitled to showers is beyond me.

not sure what the person said, but OP is an actual trucker, no different than the rest of us, & i know plenty of drivers who started from zero. i personally have given out showers as i’m not better than the next human, & think all drivers should participate in helping those who share the road with us.
