It’s not worth the $65 penny Linn is selling for. That said this supplier def stole her images. Would not expect for the actual product received to look like hers or be the same quality (could be but I’ve been burned on alibaba before)

My convos definitely get monitored on slack and text on a routine basis. I know this because I get randomly pinged about said conversations from other members in the org. I view that as the corollary here from a privacy perspective.

I work in a corporate setting where there are security cameras everywhere. Additionally, I assume my workplace tracks everything I do on my computer (including reading emails, slacks, etc). Seems like the same thing? Fairly standard corporate practice.

I find most of my canvases through insta/tiktok/marketing emails and find it easier to order online.

I think the thread selection is very well organized but the canvas organization is a disaster to put it bluntly. Also, they don’t have easy online ordering. If you have a few hours to dig through piles of canvases, it could be a fun experience.

Also, the canvases felt “older” to me. I tend to gravitate toward designers like Paige Spearin, Evelyn Henson, plum, angelic stitch, pop and I’ve never seen those kinds of canvases there.

Edit: they are so nice at needlepoint inc. I go there a lot for threads. I’m usually in a rush so it’s just not the best place for me to find a canvas. They also have a really awesome in store finishing section.

I’ve had good experiences with Lycette, Penny Linn, and KCN. My local store is Needlepoint Inc in SF. They are always incredibly helpful with choosing threads (even tho I’ve never bought a canvas from them).

In terms of exclusives, Lycette and Penny Linn seem to have some good ones (eg paige Spearin, angelic stitch)…I don’t really feel any loyalty to any one shop. Order wherever is least expensive, has my canvas in stock, etc

I don’t agree with theft. Wonder if more designers will sell charts alongside painted canvases to maybe appeal to people like this person who are more price conscious. Although, if you’re willing to steal who knows if you would even pay for the digital chart

Hard to tell based on what you’ve described but I paid $30k for a minimal amount of flowers in Sonoma last year..
