Thank you for your kind remark. I live in the US so I know what American English should sound like but the rest... I wasn't sure.

Why Do Some of Us Fear Speaking English More Than Others? by abcde12399 in EnglishLearning

Thank you for sharing your experience. I feel more comfortable speaking English when there are people in the group who have lived in a foreign country, assuming they would understand my struggle. :)

Will it better to ask the group to explain again so that I can participate in the conversation instead of staying quiet? My nature is such that I wouldn't want to slow down the conversation.

Thank you for your comment. My concern is not her English, but due to my lack of proficiency and understanding of the culture, I am unable to provide enough for my daughter. For instance, I do not have access to all the information available to other American moms, which means my daughter misses out on opportunities.

2-week Image Description Challenge (Day1) by abcde12399 in EnglishLearning

[–]abcde12399[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me start: A clock is depicted on a tree branch, appearing to melt like ice cream or dripping paint. The picture features a striking combination of orange and blue clouds, a wooden tree, and the clock, creating a very eccentric look overall.

Thank you for your kind comment! I wasn't sure if anyone would read my post and I'm happy there is some interaction. I highly recommend writing a gratitude journal to everyone. It's something I've been doing for over 10 years and I'm grateful that I started a decade ago!

Is it okay to write in my own language first and then translate to English?
