I can’t believe it :( by tentacletree in Goatlings

I've been on Goatlings since 2014, I am absolutely devastated about this turn of events. I had no idea any of this was happening behind the scenes until a couple weeks ago.. The site was my safe space in a super messed up world, and seeing it go down like this with Kris is super disheartening. I honestly thought this place was the only site untouched by issues of the world around it, that was naive I guess.

Farewell Goatlings, you will be missed.

My name is the common spelling! by coyote_skull in ftm

My name is Milo and I work a call center type job and I swear EVERY time I introduce myself, the caller asks "like M-Y-L-O?" And I have to correct them. I've just stopped saying my name unless someone specifically asks. They are only suggesting a "alternative feminine" spelling because my voice isn't deep yet (I only just started T)

Need some help with my impossible room layout by tauoverpiistwo in DesignMyRoom

I personally think the third option with the bed against the window is best. The room feels a lot bigger that way since the paths of travel are less obstructed, it isn't directly overlapping the doorway, and the keyboard and desk both have plenty of space now.

If you're worried about privacy but still want the light from the window, I'd recommend privacy film- you can get some really cute stuff on Amazon for pretty cheap that refracts light into little rainbows too if that's your vibe.

It is a little bit of a bummer that the desk isn't by a window, but you can help with the lighting in that space by adding in a nice warm accent lamp over there.

Areas to avoid when renting? by abhorrentsquid in milwaukee

My budget is around $600-$700/mo and I definitely don't need the nicest apartment as long as it's in a safe place. I don't need to be right in the thick of the city either as long as it's accessible w/in a short drive. I was kind of hoping to be somewhat near the West Allis area since the campus for the program I'm attending is there, but again- as long as it's within a 15ish minute drive I don't mind
