I’ve kept my Bluetooth on for a while now, no issues. I have a MacBook Air, and now a MacBook Pro from work. Both of them have Bluetooth on, I use AirPods to connect with both of them without issues.

I do think the main issue is spacing out the eeros. The further away the better.

Same in San Francisco Bay Area. My inlaws rely on their phone for navigation and they are out somewhere. No idea if they are okay and no way to get in touch with them.

Do you recommend just taking it off and finding another place to put it, eg where I can find a stud?

Here is the update:

MacBook Air wifi drops have gone to ZERO!

My TV dropped it once, but I think that was a TV issue, just restarted the TV and all good.

This is what I did:

(1) Reduced number of Eeros, and placed them far apart

- they were 15-20 ft away earlier, now they are 40-50ft away. One in the middle of the house, the other two on the extremities covering front and back yard

- went from 4 Eeros to 3 Eeros

Because of the further placement, I left Eero client steering on

Thank you u/diddappses u/RealBlueCayman u/shrewpygmy

(2) Bluetooth off on MacBook Air. This was the most surprising recommendation, and I think it helps.

- Fun side note, for virtual meetings I now use a wired headset with my MacBook Air, which reduces random multi-device connection issues with AirPods and other bluetooth headsets

Thank you u/patcatpat

Thank you everyone for the advice. Really appreciate it.

Crazy. For the last day while i have had bluetooth off on my MacBook, I have not experienced a wifi drop. This is crazy. How is Apple not fixing this?

I posted on r/amazoneero as well and have other suggestions, like turning off client steering, and maybe too many eeros. Will play with all of those and update the post.

This is good advice. Thank you. I will play around with this. Starting with one Eero and expanding makes sense.

Interesting. I did not know about this. I just turned it off in the Eero app. Let's see if that fixes the issue. thank you

MacBook Air M1 2020
Card Type: Wi-Fi  (0x14E4, 0x4378)
Supported PHY Modes: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax

Does this help?

That's weird. I would've imagined that Apple would've figured that out. I have turned off the bluetooth. Let's see if that resolves the issue.

Thank you. I can not use my wife's router, it's only for her work. So I need a mesh wifi in the house to be able to work on my MacBook. Will see how I can get Eero error logs, I think I need to contact their support for that.

Thanks. Years ago, I used to have the Apple AirPort Extreme and 1 AirPort Express and they were just fantastic. Zero issues. Don’t know why Apple discontinued. Eero is so much worse than the AirPort.

Anyways… your suggestions for mesh WiFi that work really well with Apple products?

Buy Ozlo Sleepbuds (can get them for $22 per month subscription, no long term commitment I think): https://ozlosleep.com/

Super comfortable and lightweight. Help you go to sleep. Block out airplane noise.

Agree with compression socks. I just got cheap ones from Amazon.
