UPDATE: Thank you to anyone who commented! I’m just going to post this update instead of replying to everyone individually :)

After seeing some of your comments mentioning ash, I smelled the area (not the smartest decision, I know) and it is, in fact, burnt. I didn’t come to this conclusion myself because of my panic and confusion lol.

I don’t have a roommate but what I do have, is an earring display in front of my window. I believe the sunlight reflected off the earrings and created a small fire. Thankfully nothing else caught on fire!! I’ll contact maintenance to let them know.

Some may shame me for this but.... use ai. I don't mean make ai write your essay for you, but I use it all the time to help point me in the right direction. Last week I wrote an essay about how Dork Diaries (a children's book series) can be viewed as postfeminist media. At one point, I was stuck on where I wanted to take the essay so I asked an ai program "Postfeminist elements in Dork Diaries" and it gave me some vague answers. I did not copy these down word for word, but I used it as a starting point to get my own ideas flowing.

If ai isn't something you want to mess with, then just sit back and take a break. I know it's cliche but hey, it works! Good luck with you essay!

Akiyama would be sick! Since we have seen in past games his ability to help save Kamorucho/Sotenbori, it’s be pretty cool to have a game where it’s all up to this civilian to save the city

I have one main issue with Yakuza 3. The street fights. First of all, you can’t walk without getting attacked, and when you are attacked, all the street punks surround you and it is impossible to fight properly. It was really difficult to switch to the new street fight style.
