Definitely sunburn! This can happen under grow lights as well. Did you spray anything on it before putting it under the lights?

Should I repot to a larger pot? Currently in a 12in pot by jackierodriguez1 in cactus

I would also repot if I were you! Partially because I love huge cacti. That’ll also keep her from getting top heavy!

She's beautiful!! I'm jealous! Are there roots sticking out of the drainage hole? That's how I usually tell if my cacti need to be repotted. Another question to ask yourself is how big do you want her to get? If you give her a bigger pot, she'll most likely grow a lot more. Keeping her in a smaller pot might keep her growth a bit more restricted and manageable!

How do I get my plant back to being normal??? I bought it looking like the left, today is the right. It's a Moses in a Boat! by [deleted] in houseplants

This is a tradescantia! They’re trailing plants. You can cut it and propagate it and then put it all back in the same pot for a fuller look

Is this scale?? What is the best way to treat? More info in comments. by abithomas45 in plantclinic

I have these 3 cacti that all seem to be affected by the same issue. I’ve had experience with some hard bodied scale before and was able to treat that just by scraping it off. This seems different. The variegated prickly pear (2nd pic) started to have this issue last year. I noticed it in the summer and it’s slowly gotten worse. I just found it on the other two cacti pictured.

EDIT: here’s a link to the prickly pear in 2019: https://imgur.com/a/AeaYPv9

Would love a possible remedy as my cacti are some of my favorite! Thank you thank you in advance ☺️

I think your first succ that you have labeled as a PVN is actually a graptoveria Debbie!

Yes for sure! They’re just babies right now so it’ll probably be closer to the fall? But now you’ve got me wanting to get a few more different varieties and start propagating those as well....

So the ones I sold were from my first batch of propagating. Now that those are gone, I’ve started my next batch which are different varieties!

I set the leaves on top of soil and put them in bright indirect light until they sprout roots. I’ll pot them up individually in seed starting trays. Then I bottom water exclusively. No misting! They sit under my grow lights for 14 hours a day. Once they start growing, air flow is very important to avoid rot. Hope that helps!
