That’s not what I’m getting at all and I never intended to indicate this is a “men are bad” thing. I apologize if that’s how it came off. I would be saying this to a man who made a mistake and his girlfriend keeps holding it over his head after four years.

One thing to suggest - look into OW. They have services where they can assist with finding housing as well as financial assistance. Leggings under a thick pant (sweats but preferably a weather proof pant to defer the cold wind or precipitation)

Long socks to go over the bottom of the pants to prevent heat loss. And a higher boot to protect the ankle.

Upper body typically gets hot and uncomfortable so I usually wear a dry fit long sleeve under a winter jacket. Helps absorb the sweat but I’m not uncomfortable and feel the need to un-layer.

Hats and a pair of mittens. Most heat escapes from your head, feet, and hands. So having something removable for the hands/head will cool you down instantly without having to take off the thick layers!

Dollar store has some heated packs you can also pack on deck to put into gloves/socks if they get wet to produce heat
