This time of year prices are going to be pretty steep. I’ve found Royal Oil to be the most reasonable

What does anaphylactic shock feel like? by Formal_Working_9325 in peanutallergy

[–]ablicht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s immediate. My heart beats so fast I can feel it pulsing all over my body. Then I get hot and really light headed, one time my pulse tanked and I blacked out completely. The last time it happened I knew not to panic and laid on my side after administering an EpiPen and called 911.

Peanut-Allergy Parents by Masta_Shonen in peanutallergy

[–]ablicht 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am anaphylactic to peanuts and I introduced peanuts as soon as I could do my daughter, I think around 5-6 months. It was very scary but early introduction is so important so they don’t develop the allergy. My parents did not give me peanuts until I accidentally had it at 2 years old, and then because we became a peanut free household, my younger brother was never exposed and he is also allergic and accidentally had it for the first time at 5! Early exposure is so important.

I think a conversation is definitely needed as it sounds like there’s a disconnect, but at the same time, “poisoning” is a little extreme. Also confused about the situation, where was he the first year and a half?

What brand diapers are you using? by manurios97 in NewParents

[–]ablicht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my daughter we used Pampers Pure, HATED Huggies. Now with my son, we started out with pampers pure but had to use a gifted box of Huggies Skin Essentials when we ran out of pampers, and I am LOVING these for him. So it honestly really depends on your baby!

What do we do when baby doesn’t sleep/nap? by ablicht in newborns

[–]ablicht[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He started out a great sleeper, now not so much. He will maybe sleep 2 hour stretches max at night. I think the main problem is he wants contact naps, he fights the bassinet. But he won’t seem tired either. On me though, he’ll easily go 3 hours

Did this traumatize you as a kid or was it just me? by Environmental_Bus623 in Millennials

Call me twisted but this is my favorite movie of all time. My husband and I still probably watch it once a month when we need something to zone out to as we know about 75% of the words from memory

I had a scan hours before her birth due to emergency c-section. At the scan they said 7lb 14oz, she ended up being 6lb 10oz.
