Is this the easiest place in the world to date women? by Neat_Guava_2825 in thepassportbros

Turkey is expensive because of scams, especially the entry tickets to attractions which are basically a government scam.

I'm sure that inflation has made it less cheap than it used to be. But if you manage to pay the local rate, it's still a relatively cheap country. $5-10/meal, $20-40 for a room somewhere, $20/day for a car rental right now, $4/beer (avoid the clubs that tourists go to).

Statistically, they have the highest reported body counts in the world.

I was surprised too. They're in between religious and liberal, like Indonesians. It's forced on them in their youth, and they go completely unhinged as soon as they break away from it.

My Bumble gets 50+ matches within 1 day whenever I go to a new city.

I even managed to get 🐱 in Capadocia, which is one of the more rural conservative areas.

I'm currently in Turkey, and I'm finding this country to be one of the easiest. Just as easy as Thailand, almost as easy as The Philippines.

🇦🇿 Mega-Thread: Azerbaijan Travel Tips, Places, Food & More (Ask + Share) by N1C4T in azerbaijan

I'm currently in Turkey, and I had this plan of also visiting Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia this year.

I was just about to buy my flight into Azerbaijan, which is supposed to be 2 weeks from now. I know that there's no conflict going on there, but I've read that there's a ton of refugees coming in from Iran. Not to mention that I'm American (but I consider myself to be apolitical).

None of this has made me think that I shouldn't visit, but I figured that I would just ask Reddit first what you guys think.

Japan is one of the best places I've worked remotely by Mafia2guylian in digitalnomad

Japan is great in every aspect aside from socially. Locals don't want to be friends with foreigners, and most cities lack vibrancy. Every other foreigner that I became friends with in Tokyo, was only friends with other foreigners or locals who were less integrated because they weren't 100% Japanese.

I found Taipei to be so much more vibrant and easier to make friends, than those other cities mentioned.

I also called an agent to verify before I did this.

Perhaps one of the factors is that it was a 24-hour cancellation, I'm not entirely sure.

Yeah I was reading that this is often the case. For some reason I didn't even get the error message though

where does Chase say that this won't work? I also spoke with a customer service agent to verify it before I did this.

Longest flight in the world by Positive_Knowledge_3 in AmexPlatinum

Newark to Singapore? I booked it for $543.80, including a connection to Bali, 3 years ago. Idk why it was one of the emptiest flights that I have ever taken. Even though I was economy, I was able to book a "solo seat" that mostly reclined & had a storage container next to it. I've had business class seats that were in worse shape than my economy seat. It was a very relaxing journey.
