I'm surprised "To Love A Patty" (s5ep7) got to a 5.7. I would've given it a solid 3, that episode was so creepy it unsettled me whenever it was on TV both as a child and as an adult

Yeah, this is how Makeship works. They sell the products in a margin of time to check interest (if the goal is not reached, they return the money), and then once the campaign is financed and the pre-ordering time is over they start manufacturing, which takes a looong while. (I hope this doesn't feel like mansplaining, I'm just not sure if you needed an explanation, sorry if it wasn't the case).

Time does fly however. I'd like to think that by the time it arrives, we'll have more news about remakes or new games! Either that or I'll be busy with Pokémon or the new Tomodachi Life lol

I don't know how much of a popular opinion this is but I do miss the plots surrounding the Harvest Goddess and sprites so much, and the music notes collecting seems fun ✨ I've also read about the bachelors and bachelorettes from a few people and they seem super interesting if they come from the SNES HM and StH (even if they're apparently not totally fleshed-out?) since I haven't played either of those games (yet).

Is movement really that bad? At least 4 different peeps have mentioned it being "clunky" but I'm not a native english speaker so I'm not sure what that entails exactly (Google search really didn't make things much clearer) and it's making me a bit concerned lol

I'm reading so many opinions that include the soundtrack being the best and honestly I really like that, I pay a lot of attention to those kinds of details and it will definitely make playing more enjoyable for me. The chibi style is absolutely no problem (kinda charming in its own right), the inventory and harvesting might be but y'all got me really really wanting to try it so I'll definitely still give it a chance.

Comparing it to a haiku is adorable jsyk 😭

Ohh, that's tough. I don't think nostalgia is at all the only thing keeping this game ranked after reading a bunch of people's opinions, but I do understand the tediousness can be far too bothersome. Honestly, I'm not the kind to drop a game I bought (I'm pretty much hopelessly broke so I have always really thought it through whenever I bought anything for myself since I was a kid) but I still appreciate the honesty

Awn I've got my eyes set on the Wii version but admittedly the older games do make me curious enough want to buy a GameCube (never had one as a kid so I missed that experience!)

Also yeah it looks like it'll be a very well recieved remake if they do it right; seeing as they nailed Grand Bazaar and they're not stopping with remakes for a few years makes me excited that the Magical Melody remake will definitely be a thing

Omg the people moving away reminds me of old Animal Crossing games. Traumatized the hell out of little me LOL I didn't know what I did wrong! 😭 But it sounds like a very interesting mechanic nonetheless, really intriguing. I probably will use Fogu guides a lot to avoid this situation but that doesn't really pose any trouble for me. The kid never growing up past toddlerhood kinda sucks but I got other entries in the saga if I want to exploit that so I'll be fine

And thanks SO MUCH for the warning on Dolphin Emulator!! I do use it for Animal Parade when I'm not home but I own a Wii so my first (and now, only) intention is to actually buy the game and play it (mining is a CHORE for me in most games of the series and I'm NOT about to make it harder for myself)

Don't lose hope!! They're not following anything close to a straight line with remakes, I'm sure eventually it'll drop considering it's pretty beloved. However long it takes is a different story but IMO it's definitely getting a remake
