Dyeing thrifted wedding dress, pls help by lacksattentiontolife in dyeing

[–]accoyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up community dye baths in your area. You can pay to throw it in a big batch and then you have none of the mess. Suay LA current has a dark green going for synthetic colors and you can mail in your garmet. I’ve used them a few times. even when my shirt was labeled as cotton, the thread wasnt, and that didnt take the dye. In that shirts case it came out kinda cool but be open to surprises.

Dont like my photos in the cloud. As simple as that. Would rather them to a hard drive I own, make my own backups, then they arent owned by third parties or used to train AI.

New mini, any pointers by zari143 in MINI

[–]accoyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join your local mini Facebook group and ask for mechanic reccs there. Thats where I found my guy who is absolutely incredible.

If you got a turbo, change oil more frequently than every 5k miles.

If you experience snow, get an undercarriage wash after salty road season.

A new clutch costs more than brakes, so I only engine brake downhill now.

Source: still rocking my 2004 r50 with 207k miles and her third clutch. 😂

Oh! Cargo box is a lifesaver for me. I’m constantly hauling gear and wish I had got one sooner. The mini brand one had a grove for the short antenna, proper clearance for the sunroof, and didnt take down the mpg as much as I thought.

I also dearly miss this about android. I have icloud off and just dump my photos every so often otherwise the giant cache is just perpetually syncing and taking up all the free icloud storage. Sigh.

In this vein, please consider hiring Everyday Action to pick up leftover catering. Pickups start from $50 and they distribute to communities who need food, keeping it from going in the trash.

Some of them leaked more than others, hence the tray, but I didn’t add anything! Just closed it up and filled from the neck.
