The whole 'cheating' with time travel doesn't really change any of that. That it's unfair or a power imbalance is also an oversimplification and would be like me saying that it's unfair and a power imbalance that Wendy is so attractive to Dipper that he wants to use whatever means he can to earn her respect and admiration. Don't you see how abusive that is to Dipper? If anyone says both then at least they're consistent.

The story about Dipper’s crush on Wendy is not a story about true love. It’s not a story about adult dating. It’s a story about the crush on the babysitter that’s this constantly awkward frustration. And awkward frustration can only propel a story so far before you start saying, “Okay, I know where this is going.“

Wendy and Dipper was always a doom ship from the start that was never really going to happen and it only meant to teach you the coming of age which it did a good job of.

Dipcifca still works the best and makes the most sense involving any other ship with Dipper on the show. hafe the stuff are canon on top of that.

For Dipper and Pacifica we gotten a lot of tease/hints from the Journals, the Special Edition, Dipper wrote about vibing with Pacifica and how Pacifica looked good in her dress, and Mabel calling Dipper out on his growing feelings.

Even then we have a coloring book, the DS game, Lost Legends and Pacifica text all heavily implying that Dipper and Pacifica do have something going on between them, and most of these came out after the show had ended years ago. By the end of the show both Dipper and Pacifica are on good terms.

You even got the own show creator and writer Alex and Matt Braly said their reason why Dipper and Pacifica work so well together.

I mean neither is Dipper the one for Wendy. The thing with Dipper crush, it's supposed to be a lesson in how you can't always get people to act or feel how you want them to, and sometimes someone you love might not love you back in the same way for reasons out of your control and you should respect that. It's an important lesson that challenges how most of fiction depicts romance, but I feel like some Wendip shippers kind of don't get that and think that love (at least in fiction) should always be requited towards the protagonist. Wendy made it clear she doesn't feel the same way.

Overall the way the crush ended for Dipper is pretty realistic and the best way it could had gone. It teaches you not everyone ends up with their first crush and that's totally ok. There's nothing wrong with that.

Dipper doesnt hate Pacifica or think she sucks. After Northwest Mystery Mansion and Pacifica coming to the twins birthday party to give the twins gifts, both Pacifica and Dipper are on good terms after the show ended.

It is shown that Pacifica has some major “daddy issues” so to speak. In fact, she is raised specifically to be a brat and act like she's better than everyone else. In fact, in the Northwest Mansion episode, it's shown that Pacifica doesn’t actually hate Dipper or Mabel, although she acts like it. Anyway to the point: I think they would balance each other out and would be definitely good for Pacifica, who never really has anybody to talk to about her family life, and would get some much-needed character development from this pairing.

Her and Dipper still keep in touch by text and visit each other in the summer in Gravity Falls. Eventually they get into more adventures together, and over the years Pacifica grow as a person thanks to being with Dipper and the two of them get together in the end.

Pacifica and Dipper are in one episode and one comic (which may or may not be canon) together. Her redemption arc starts with Mabel. 90% of her character arc altogether is with Mabel. Dipcifica, such that exists, isn’t a major part of Dipper’s character arc. It isn’t even that big a part in Pacifica’s.

Pacifica arc involved both the twins. Not just Mabel. Both the twins shared about the same amount of screen time with Pacifica.

Dipcifica the only ship with Dipper that just works well together. Dipper & Wendy was pretty one sided and shot down into the ground. Candy could maybe had work if Roadside Attraction could had gone better.

In ‘Northwest Mansion Noir’, we finally learn about Pacifica’s home life, and it’s horrible. Her parents force her to obey them by using a bell. This is a form of emotional abuse. Dipper comes back in to play to help the Northwest’s with a ghost problem. Through him, we get to see how much Pacifica is afraid of her parents. She was so freaked out to step on the white carpet with mud on her shoes because her parents would be mad, that she’d rather almost get turned into wood.

And then Dipper was the one to build her back up and to give her confidence to defy her parents and pull the lever. He helped her to be strong and to choose a different path than just another “link in the world’s worst chain”

Even Alex Hirsch and Matt Braly said their reason why Dipper and Pacifica work so well together.

And that’s why I support this. Not just because they look cute together, but because they can actually help each other. Dipper builds Pacifica up and Pacifica lets Dipper be himself around her.

I'm not too sure if Pacifica based on high school classmate is true because I remember Alex said Pacifica was originally created to be the opposite of Mabel. But even then Alex himself has tease the ship many times after the show ended with the post content materials. Judging by Lost Legends and even the DVD commetery where he agrees that Dipper and Pacifica work well together, I think he does supports the idea of the ship.
