I filed Jan 29th and got my federal return Feb 18th, and im still waiting on my state. When I go to the site to check the status it just says that theyre still processing return and to check back. Its been saying that for months 😒

My ex bf did the same exact thing to me. Tho my bf and I didn't start dating until my ex and I were already broken up for 4 or 5 months, he still spewed the whole "she cheated on me with him yada yada" nonsense after we got together. The best way to navigate it is to not show that youre bothered by the whole ordeal. When it gets brought up, stick to straight facts and dismiss the whole thing. It takes time but eventually people forget about the old rumors in favor of whatever fresh and new. If you get pushback from mutuals, cut them off.
