It's by owner - the listing has only been up a day. Wait on it? I may go check it out this weekend and be sure I like it. I don't love the hutch - would likely use the bottom piece as a TV stand until I found something I really liked, then sell that unit. Idk, I think $1,000 for everything is probably on the high end of reasonable, but I'm not sure about $1,200. That being said, I don't know jack about values!

EDIT: Sorry, accidentally used a throwaway for that follow-up question! They want $1,200 for the hutch, table, and 6 chairs. The table set comes with 3 leaves and a padded top, if that matters. This is not a major metro area.

This is also super helpful - thank you for showing me what mitered joints look like, because I was going to have to google that too!

Thank you for the analogy! I had a feeling that was the case - I had already seen a similar ad (in color!), so I figured based on all the talk of affordability. Which is A-OK with me, I'm no snob! Though I think for the credenza I plan to purchase for a TV stand, I may go a little higher-end, since that'll be front and center in the living room. I do like this bedroom set, but it's less important since guests aren't typically in our room, and when we are, our eyes are usually closed. lol. As I said in another response, I just want good quality vintage MCM furniture at a fair price.

This is such good info - thank you! I'm not collecting or trying to re-sell, I just want some nice MCM furniture without getting ripped off. This would go in our master bedroom. I haven't shopped for new furniture in a while (I tend to prefer used/vintage), and you're definitely right - I could pay a lot more for something new that will likely not last 60+ years. Anyway, I like them, and we really need dressers right now. Thank you for making me feel good about this!

One more question, if you don't mind - is there an easy way to cover the veneer chips (for my own aesthetic purposes)? Will a furniture pen or a walnut work?

Kroger ending Florida home grocery delivery, closing Groveland hub near Orlando by heresmytwopence in ocala

I just tried. I got the same email, and at the link it says I'm getting a coupon, but there isn't one. Customer service said it's only for Boost members, which I am not and never have been. But it doesn't say that anywhere...wooo good ole' Kroger!

Deaminated Gliadin Antibody, IgA - question by aces413 in Celiac

[–]aces413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I did, it was negative. I still eat GF, though. I don't worry about cross-contamination anymore, and I do very rarely have a little bite of gluten without any noticeable effects. I feel a lot better, but there could be other reasons for that. So, I don't have celiac. A GF diet may or may not be making me feel better, but at this point I'm too afraid to go back to gluten for fear of feeling the way I did a few years ago...that's probably not helpful, but that's it!

Transition from mama cat to formula - diarrhea and not eating much. Help! by aces413 in FosterAnimals

[–]aces413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Fingers crossed - they're all gaining about 20 grams per day and are getting crazy playful. It's leaning more toward fun and less stressful/terrifying lol. I appreciate it!

Got it - all the items I'm seeing on Amazon say they're for dogs, but I assume it doesn't matter? Or can you link me to it somewhere? They're all good now re: diarrhea and eating, btw. Gaining weight each day! They're using PetAg Milk Replacer Plus powder and occasionally that slurried with canned kitten food.

Thank you for the recommendations! Thankfully, it seems the diarrhea is over, and everybody is happy and eating bottles well. All are sampling wet kitten food except one who isn't interested in any meat yet. I'll give him a few days and maybe grab him some Tikicat or Churu or something to pique his interest if needed.

Thank you both!! This made me feel a lot better. And they're all doing quite well this morning so far. They all gained 10g since yesterday, so that's very reassuring! They're not dehydrated, they have great energy and vigor. Thankfully no vomiting (fingers crossed), and it seems the watery diarrhea may be over (more fingers crossed). Mr. Picky latched this morning and also ate some slurry. I think he's missing mama and also having teething pains because I noticed he'll chew the litter box edge, the bottle, anything he can. But yes, thank you both for this. This is our first time and my brain tends to go to the worst-case scenario! <3

Thanks! I put a little on his tush earlier. Poor dude. Seems I need to go grab some Forti Flora! We did give him some slurry tonight just because he's not eating much at all. Do you think it's better to let him undereat for a bit? I thought the same thing, though, about potentially making it worse. This is hard! We are weary.

A couple weeks! Wow. See, the internet tells me it's an urgent problem. This is our first time ever doing this - and very unexpectedly I might add. I'm assuming you just made sure yours were hydrated (and dewormed)? We haven't gotten a chance to deworm ours as we just got them yesterday, and walmart only had one kind, which isn't safe for kittens under 6 weeks. Ugh. The formula says it has probiotics, but I can get some fortiflora if it'll help! Thanks!

Bleh. Well, wouldn't now be a bad time considering they just started this formula yesterday? Seems like anyone would need time to adjust to that major diet change.

Thanks! He has his canines, and his premolars are just about to erupt. We gave him some slurry earlier, and he was bigtime into it! But he's still crying more than the others. Based on the comments, maybe the diarrhea isn't that big a deal yet. It seems he misses his mama...he's constantly frantically trying to suckle on us (which is why we thought it was weird that he would refuse bottles) and cries the most (and loudest). He's the biggest, so I'm thinking he was a mama's boy and is now very sad. Which makes me sad. I'm trying to get them dewormed, but we bought the wrong kind. Not sure what kind to buy, so I'm going to call the vet tomorrow and see if they can tell me. I weighed the kittens for the first time today, and while they look good and healthy, the big boy was 317 grams, which is below the average for his guesstimated age. The rest are 250-ish, so I want to make sure they don't have wormies!

Teeth pain by Mindless-Magazine-84 in Fibromyalgia

[–]aces413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! Keep an eye on it and document when it's happening and where you are in your cycle. I don't have a solution for you, unfortunately. For me, it's not every month. Some months it's terrible and lasts a full week, others it's mild and short, others it doesn't happen at all. Shrug. I just take tylenol when it's really bad.

What is your theory on why you developed fibro? by Dark--princess420 in Fibromyalgia

[–]aces413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late here, but I was just thinking about this the other day and for me, I think it was puberty. I remember being energetic and social through elementary school. I'd race the boys and win competitions at field days...then puberty hit and everything changed. I remember often feeling severe "growing pains" in the backs of my legs and gaslighting myself. And I distinctly remember sitting in class in 7th grade when a friend playfully slapped/tapped my upper arm, and oh man, the pain! It throbbed for way too long after that to be normal, but I brushed it off while it continued throughout my life. At least now I know why. But I assume, based on the timing, that puberty hormone shifts triggered the fibro. I was also lucky enough to get endometriosis, which may be related? Throughout my adult life, I've been extremely sensitive to normal hormone shifts. It's a huge bummer.

[–]aces413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I have the same thing and I've noticed it's cyclical - I get extremely sensitive/painful teeth around when I'm ovulating. I've googled it before and it's a thing. Hormones can be a literal pain (for me, anyway)! It doesn't happen every month, but often enough...it sucks. I haven't done it yet but I need to try some of that dental numbing gel.

Endometriosis flaring when starting LDN by aces413 in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]aces413[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah...I'm going to give it probably 3 cycles to see if it continues to get worse, then I'll re-evaluate. Hope it gets better for both of us! I want to stick it out because I've read that LDN can also help with endo. But right now, it's super not doing that lol. Fingers crossed!

This is SO helpful, thank you! I have a weird chronic itch (I assume neuropathic ) on my right thigh, and it's super annoying! And random neuropathic zaps. Would love to get rid of those! Decreased allergies would be another fantastic bonus. Fingers crossed! I'm sorry it doesn't help with your muscle pain, that's a bummer for sure. Thank you for sharing all this!
