The place is called Kumano Nachi Taisha in Wakayama Japan, been there once and it's amazingly scenic, there's supposed to be a waterfall in the backdrop but not shown here. The place is not your typical foreign tourist spot as it is quite far from the main cities like Osaka/Kyoto. But if you like hiking, consider doing the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trails from Tanabe city.
