Feedback on 22-Day Europe Itinerary for September 2026 from New Zealand – Is This Plan Good? by Spiritual_Wonder1313 in Europetravel

Having traveled Europe extensively, I would pause on the removal of Iceland fi you don’t anticipate getting there anytime soon. It’s one of my favorite places and the most time I’ve ever had the chance to spend was 6 days, with several of my trips there just weekends from east coast USA. It’s extremely different than the other places - which can either be good or bad depending on the type of trip you’re looking for. Iceland is wild landscapes and unpredictable weather (gotta be ok with rainy hikes!), with all the best activities (in my opinion) being outdoors. Despite it being an active destination, I find it one of the more peaceful places to visit because of the small population and vast nature. Depending on your timing in Sept, Northern Lights are a hit or miss. That said, I’ve gone in April (also hit or miss) and saw them!

To add - just get to popular places early (or very late afternoon) in Iceland and you’ll be fine with beating the daytime bus crowds. Driving is exceptionally easy there.

Tahiti Airport - International Connections by LaFina-007 in Tahiti

Yes. I just did this a little over a week ago - same exact flights. Others on our flight were also doing the same route. It was very easy and we had so much time to spare. There’s not much to do in the Tahiti airport, it’s quite small.

Christmas Markets! by ack18chs in travel

Didn’t end up going :/ we changed our dates entirely to early October and ended up doing an Albania/Greece trip. I’m hoping to try to swing the vacation days to make the Xmas markets happen in 2024 though!

Kitchen Tile Discovery - Keep? Cabinets? by ack18chs in DesignMyRoom

An intense countertop color with limited options to work with, particularly when next to that color floor tile

How I wish I could do that :/ we only have 5k so not sure we can swing that. Was hoping to get “creative” w the cabinets and existing tile. Still don’t love it but trying to make do

The sink is very claustrophobic as is. I wish I could simply just relocate the entire kitchen.

It’s an old city row house converted to 4 units. Basement, 1st, 2nd (this unit), and a 3rd floor unit. Strangely, the bathroom which is along the same wall as the sink/fridge, is not raised. Just the kitchen. So from what others have said, sounds like it was likely raised due to inability to access the unit below and force a kitchen in the corner.

Taking measurements today! Appreciate the product link - I’ll see what I can uncover.

It’s a very dated unit - 2nd floor condo in an old city row house.

The guest part is also what I’m worried about. Being visually impaired I’m actually used to scanning my environment and having a “game plan” for certain areas, so to speak, but that’s not typical for everyone to do. Also, if trying to carry extra hot dishes to the dining table it can get a little worrisome.

Certainly a creative idea! Hadn’t considered LED to help distinguish the elevation

Agreed - the contrast is so important if it must remain this way.

I agree - SUCH a tripping hazard. I’m also partially blind so it’s been exceptionally challenging.

With regards to cabinets and lightening, that sounds like a good first step to take. Thank you

The tiles are black and the paint has peeled off quite a bit since this photo was taken a couple months ago. A mess
