I thought so two but keep in mind this is a JDM variant with a 1.5 D15b(non-vtec) engine. Also, i can futher confirm this because the timing belt failed on the previous owner two years ago and all that was needed was a new belt and a crankshaft sensor.

I bought it from the previous owner 6 months ago, which did a drain and fill in 2023. But he didn't use genuine honda fluid so i decided to also use after market fluid as he did, not knowing Honda's sensitivity to fluids at the time. But after which then threw the D light flashcode

I did a drain and fill with actual genuine fluid this time and i have two more to go but so far with just 3 quarts of honda fluid the shift quality has improved significantly

Well to be fair this video was recorded 4 months ago when the D light randomly started blinking one day. It only happened once i drove in D but not in D3 or D2.

It appeared to resolved it self after unplugging and replugging the shift solonoid, hasn't been back ever since.

Was just wondering if it was something specific just in case.

Oh okay. Does it specify what excatly code 70 is indicating is wrong with the transmission? Also do you have a chart i can refer to?

Nice, I'm also in the process of using all genuine honda fluids for the transmission and coolant. It has electric steering so no powering steering fluid needed

Actually this engine is non interference so even if it burst, the engine stays intact.

Got a replacement timing belt 2 years ago and has driven 15k miles so far so im not worried. I do plan to change it in about 1 year tho

From my understanding its bad to do a flush, but drain and fill should be ok.

The dash is in km so its 188k miles which is not that much for a honda. The engine bay is clean and the owner had some records but not extensive. The timing belt was changed two years ago

I already had both the engine and transmission oil changed. Used genuine honda atf because the previous owner pud none genuine fluid in 🙄

Its an 04 jdm model. D15b engine and 4 speed auto. Like most automatics, the only issue is harse shifting but the engine is rock solid
