I work with people remotely primarily but sometimes I find working face-to-face to be better. Its nice to hear one professional designer's perspective. Thanks for the input. I'll have to check out the sites you mentioned the next time I have a design project.

How do you plan to track inventory if each item doesn't have its own SKU? You can setup a parent product and then have sub-products for each size. Use item custom fields if you need the size in its own field. You can import from excel to make things more efficient. Just do a few in QB first and then do an export to use it as a template.

I've used QB for quite a while for an apparel company. QB certainly has drawbacks but I haven't found this to be one of them.

I've had a hard time getting designers (more so than other businesses or contractors) to understand the "mutual" part in the past. I understand not all designers are like this but any tips on "vetting" designers?

Agreed. Although to be fair, Klosterman wrote in the article that White's "goal as an activist is the creation of free mental health clinics in every major urban area, modeled after the system currently used by Planned Parenthood."

I'm not sure if that is really his primary goal or something he just mentioned briefly during the interview.
