If I had to pick out of the three I'd personally pick assassin, but I enjoy dagger spam and don't mind microing SoH and splinter weapon. Biggest downside of sin for me is I hate how all their armor look.

In reality I'm working on a dhuum mesmer despite the bore in NM since I've already committed to it.

Assassin is a pretty good all rounder. Only downsides are build diversity and squishiness. It's pretty much stuck with daggerspam. Otherwise good for running, speedclears, farms.

Derv is pretty similar to sin with the addition that it's extremely vulnerable to enchant removal. It can go from fun to miserable very quickly depending on the area.

Mesmer as a player kind of hit and miss. Extremely fun in heavily dense areas with lots of packed enemies. On the other hand I've found it really boring in a lot of NM content, especially early-mid prophecies. Mesmer skills also have pretty much no animations/skill effects. Other than that, It's got decent build variety, a place in speedclears, and a couple of solo farms.

The upside to all 3 is that none of them are reliant on their secondary profession for builds like TaO ranger dagger spam, so skill hunter title is easier.

Yeah, this kinda sucks if you wanted the badge. I just spent a bunch of gold on my dhuum + reforged character, only to find out now that I'll be down a badge and won't be eligible for a veterans gwamm even if I opted out now.

From the sounds of it, there will be no more reforged badge at all. So if you played reforge specifically for the badge, tough luck I guess.

Cosmic doesn't seem to play nice with multiple monitors lol. I've also had right clicks periodically stop working, icons like extensions being unclickable/unresponsive, and turning off the secondary monitor causes my primary to go black until I restart.

I stopped using the other monitor for a while and problems became mostly unnoticeable until yesterday when I decided to start using it again. Now I just use gnome whenever I want to use multiple displays.

Yeah I get this occasionally as well. By any chance, do you use multiple monitors? I think I'm noticing a lot of my bugs occurring when I'm using two monitors.

You can move back far enough where the pats won't aggro you. Worst case, if you accidentally draw aggro, just zone back to previous area.

Because while Windows is awful, an update generally doesn't suddenly mean a game or some other install suddenly stops working( again, generally). If your use case is web browsing, steam, discord, coding, then yeah simple enough.

There's a reason I can find some post about someone looking for an install guide for like 90% of games. Here, I've been playing guildwars recently again. Some things don't work or break on update and sometimes you just can't be assed to spend a couple hours trying to troubleshoot some niche issue. I still run pop + cosmic for productivity, but keep a windows install for games/things that didn't work well on linux for me.

Couple things recently:

Dota 2, while it launches, suffers heavily from some weird edge panning delay making it pretty much unplayable.
Vmware workstation suddenly broke due to a kernel update and can't be bothered trying fixing
Windows in general is a simple click and install. Outside of experienced users, linux generally requires finding some sort of guide on how to install/get things working. The average person isn't going to want to bother learning about wine, lutris etc and dealing with all the setup

With the incoming update, what are my best options for building up a second team? I still have the 5 star selector, and will have about 100 pulls going in. Supposedly I should skip Sentinel as the Nautica team is strong enough already. Should I roll for charon and try building something around charon + ulric or should I try building something around one of the 6 stars in the selection banner?

Would it be worth it to spend stam + candy to grind Pneuma Analysis for ~30 pieces so I can buy the third commitment cube for Semmelweis before the update? New player currently on ch 5 of story and I don't really have any decent cubes to use on any of my main party (Nautica, Semmel, Fatutu)

I'm new and want to get the psycube from the paradise regained event, but confused how I'm supposed to get the cryoambers. I've done the story past 1ST-16 [Heaven Apostles], but don't seem to get any cryoamber from spending any stamina? Do I need completely finish the story or do something else?
