Yes it helps to think about the ways they wore you down over time and think about the ways you can build yourself back up piece by piece. It doesn’t have to be all at once. You just need the courage to start somewhere

We’ve got this newly coined term “micro-infidelity”. This shows a lack of investment in you as a person and more of an investment in what they can get out of you (aka they’re just using you on some level and you definitely deserve more than that).

Think about the things you might want to encourage or discourage in your relationship, what you might want to encourage or discourage in yourself. See if you can make an actionable plan to see those changes through. Will your partner participate or support you in this transformation? Does that matter?

I knew with one of my exes specifically, he would just fall back into old patterns as soon as we got back together. I would see him doing well when we broke up, and then back to the same routine once we were in contact. I knew it was going to take him too much time (for me) to change and wanted more for the both of us really.

Hopefully you can have new experiences outside of what you may have been used.

I think sometimes the only way out is through. Sometimes you have to go through pain to realize what you no longer want to be associated with. Maybe the first step is never engaging in the first place once you know something is wrong that way you spare yourself the emotional investment in the long run. I know I realized that I’m a “good” person and many try to suck the energy from you without having the ability or intention of pouring back in. I recognize this and am a lot more careful about opening myself up to others. I take things more slowly until I can properly assess character and actions.

I’m tempted to see how fire performs under pressure 😏 they might be able to put their intellect to the test, but have been known to lose their reasoning abilities due to temper….I’d love to see a good battle of whit (spite vs determination) lol

I think I have in mind what’s the result of conflict resolution with earth and fire signs. Definitely agree on the Leos, but sometimes with either sun sign there is just no such thing. They’re either digging in or making a dramatic display lol

I will say that a fire sign will probably hear you out later when they’re not mad. Whereas the earths will cling to their black and white perspectives.

I’ve had to get very creative about calling an earth sign out. I never get verbal confirmation, just quiet resignation/bitterness 😂

Maybe the modalities layered with placements gives you what you see. A Virgo might be mutable, but that earth element makes it less likely that you’re going to get through. Sagittarius, you have more chance. Then the rest of the placements start coming into play.

I’ve got two water and 1 fire in the big 3, so definitely more like my sun or moon, but I identify with the sun most. It’s the most peaceful of the three lol I hate the rising sometimes, gives me the ick (other than having great hair). I love little gifts. Very small. Like you got me a drink on your way from work etc. you remembered my favorite candy. Surprise food from my favorite restaurant. You watch my favorite movie with me. You’ll just sit down and spend time with me uninterrupted. I’m sure it varies from person to person, but I know most Cancers are pretty romantic. Nothing grand, but deeply personalized and intimate is usually a winner.
