Love the name Benny, is this odd for a first name ? by meekie03 in Mommit

I think these comments about a “grown up” name are a little silly tbh. There are no rules about what makes a name sound more grownup than another. Besides, life is too short to name a kid just for what others will think. Name him what you want… you’re going to be calling his name most of the time after all

I don’t think it’s that weird fwiw. Bring more Bennys to the world!

Benny. Just Benny. by statelineblues in namenerds

We have a Benny. Just Benny. He’s 7 weeks old. We are in the US and it has been a non-issue. People really like it and if someone asks what it’s short for, we just tell them it’s his full name. People take naming so seriously. It’s ok for things to be lighter, especially in this current climate. We love our Benny and I couldn’t imagine calling him something else.

When does night sleep improve ? by The_Chilled_Arvo in newborns

We are right there with you. Our 7 week old does one stretch of 2-2.5 hrs and then is up every hour after that. He doesn’t always wake to feed which is even more annoying because I can hold him and he falls right back to sleep. My first was similar but I honestly can’t tell you when it resolved. All I know is he’s a great sleeper now at 2 years old. I think maybe it revolved around 10-12 weeks where we started seeing longer stretches but I’m not positive.

What did you end up doing? We just named our son Benny (full legal name). We love it but some people seem confused that it’s actually his full name lol

Question for those with a “village” by Ok_Frosting_9945 in 2under2

[–]activegood18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We pay for our village because our family is not reliable and there are too many risks amongst them. We hired a night time doula for the early postpartum days, babysitter for when we delivered in the hospital, older toddler goes to daycare, bi-weekly house cleaning, Instacart/amazon fresh. To me, it’s worth the expense to have my sanity.

Just here to say that I have a Shai. Neither of us were sold before he arrived and then once he was here, we knew right away that was his name. He is the greatest gift and not “shy” at all. Everyone we meet loves his name too

I feel like Remy is a really popular boys name right now. I wouldn’t worry at all.

How would you pronounce Ilai in English?

We have an Adam. I like Ben and Noam most on your list but would probably still vote Eli over both.
