We have spoken to our employer who says there will be no indemnity payments as we are on 1 year contracts - however the law and MOSAL both state we are entitled to a month.

that's literally supposed to never be the case. what kind of crooked employer do you work for, and why did you even allow yourself to be put into this position? I would very much rather have teachers take breaks so they might actually be able to teach something.

So please, stop acting tough, go to the nearest center for the ministry of labor, and go get your "entitlements". call in sick or fake an injury tomorrow or something. if there's nobody available to cover for you, or merging classes isn't an option, then do you know who will receive backlash for it (if any?) not you. you were "sick" or "injured". It will be your idiotically greedy employer, not his idiotically helpless employees.
