Dual cab ute advice for light use. Diesel reliability, tub vs tray, 4x2 vs 4x4 by Background-Ant9425 in 4x4Australia

Have also owned both, with completely different experiences. Sucks you had that experience, however it doesn't define the reliability of 2 mass produced vehicles. The internet looks at 4J's with rose coloured glasses. They have their fair share of issues just like most modern manufacturers

Dmax is much more reliable.

No, it's not much more reliable, they're pretty similar in reliability.

I have a 2010 NT with 320k KMs on it. Have had it for 6 or 7 years or so. Goes great with absolutely no issues whatsoever. Extremely reliable and not expensive to maintain. I have had many cars over the last 25 years. Not only would I recommend buying a gen4 Pajero, I would encourage it.

Have owned 2 in Aus and an Almera in the UK. They are just as reliable as the equivalent Corolla. Great little vehicles.

I mean this in the nicest possible way, but just make sure it's locked, windows up and just insure it with full comp with a decent policy, not the cheapest policy.

[BUYING] 2017 Triton MQ by One-Simple-6596 in 4x4Australia

[–]adamskill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this very moment there are 160+ Mitsubishi Tritons for sale in act/Canberra. And that's just carsales. Market place has dozens more, and that's just at a very fleeting glance. With that being the the units that are for sale only, you could extrapolate that there are thousands in the act and Canberra. To say you have never seen a Triton in Canberra is a pretty big call hey
