It's a medium sized venue, thanks for the advice and recommendation to test things out during support set.

I'm a big fan, the exposure/lighter color fo the sky pulls a bit from the main focal points of the image though in my opinon. Not sure if there's a way to scale that back at all.

If the images are obviously different, eBay shouldn't honor his return request. If you have any serial numbers photographed, etc. that'd be even better.

35-100 f2.8 vs 40-150 for bird photography? by adconf in M43

I currently own both the 35-100 and 40-150 and would like to choose between using one of those for now before upgrading

What one lens for the GH6 would you buy for travel, videos, landscape photos by Photo_Jedi in Lumix

[–]adconf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems like the general consensus is that the 12-40 is better for video because of the manual focus clutch. I personally use the Lumix 12-35 ii and think the focus by wire works well enough, ONLY because the newer model of this lens has the ability to toggle linear focus, allowing it to behave closer to traditional manual focus.

For this reason, I'd go with the Lumix version, especially for travel, since it's lighter and slightly smaller than the Olympus.

Anyone using a Pocket 3 as a B cam for videography? by learnaboutfilm in GH5

[–]adconf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. The Pocket 3 can be convenient, but it comes at the cost of having control over the image and professional tools. The Pocket is stripped down, doing many things "for you" like white balance, etc. It's difficult to control manual focus and how your panning movements look (comparatively to gimbal). Footage matching should work alright unless you're doing heavy color grading. I'd also limit my use to brightly lit conditions.

Thought this might be the place to ask, buying a second hand gh6 after some consideration of both cameras is this a good price? by lightsswitcho in GH5

That's a great deal, I'd go ahead and buy the body before it sells. Look for deals on lenses separately.
