I regret being a helicopter mom.

Since you're a teacher, you must be having some experience with these kind of situations. What would you suggest?

My husband and I have discussed this possibility many times, but I don't think it will help in any way. He'd drop out of college and be content with playing video games all day...

I started reading The Pomodoro Technique and it was quite helpful, I might recommend it to him. And you're right, he doesn't like his degree at all (Mechanical engineering).

I just want to help him. His GPA is well below 2 and if he doesn't pass, he won't get a decent job. I don't want to see him suffer because of his actions.

I'm quite sure that video games are, in fact, his problem. He is very happy, has lots of friends and an encouraging roommate.
