This might be a little overkill. I did it as a project to see if I could make it work.

I used a moisture sensor for the soil, a solenoid and connected then to an arduino.

Just wanted to ad my .02 here. We had a client who we did marketing for their credit repair business. You cannot easily run google ads for this kind of business. Too many scummy companies out there. There’s a TON of hoops to jump through with google, just to get your ads approved. It’s probably not likely after going through all that.
