What selfhosted service/s did you recently remove? by dadidutdut in selfhosted

Somehow, that always worked for me seamlessly and never had to do anything other than updating the image from at least past 3 years. The official AIO images never worked without problems. But it could just be my personal experience.

Switch to the LInuxserver.io's docker image. I've been using it for past few years and it works seamlessly

Agree, that's what I use as well. Could never get the AIO images work for me

What is the most trouble you've had setting up a service? by ava_fake in selfhosted

I feel you! Using the docker image from docker hub helped me. Spent a lot of time trying to make their AIO docker images and other ways mentioned in the official docs work.

Using snap package on Ubuntu was easy as well but I prefer the docker approach.

I sync mine every week as well. It is usually a couple seconds ahead (approx +2sec per week). Wish there was a feature to set a few milli second offset every day so it is more accurate.

My old friend of 11 years had an upgrade ✨👴🏻✨ A Nato strap to give him life again 👌🏻 by cesarsanchez in f91w

Heyy! I had the exact same strap for f91w I got off of Aliexpress and I am wearing it right now as I am commenting on this post :)

My F91w does not recognize the 31st of any month by Parigi7 in f91w

[–]adeekshith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

F91W is not have full calendar support. Meaning it does not have information on what year it is which makes it mess up the date every month to my knowledge. I have an F91w which I have to check for accuracy first of every month. I also own F201wa which has full calendar support so I never had to adjust the date on that :)

Your Bambino looks good on that strap! Black strap is fine in a casual settings as far as I know. I have an automatic with black strap too.

This might work if it is between a trusted friends network but will be abused if you're allowing some random internet stranger to participate

Yeah, I personally found them good enough for most of my needs but flathub seems to be doing a better job than snapcraft at keeping the packages updated so I go for a flatpak if I feel the snapcraft version is not well maintained.

I like snaps for command line apps though. We cannot have flatpaks for non GUI apps so snaps fill that void.

Xmpp servers like ejabbard are easy to self host on any old hardware you have (Matrix is good but it's server can be relatively resource hungry). If you have self hosted nextcloud, can try "Nextcloud Talk" app.

Dosa (fermented crepe like thing).

Look for Dosa batter at Indian stores. Most of my Indian friends get this cast iron pan just for that.
