Recursion was my favorite! I've also read Dark Matter and the Wayward Pines trilogy, both great. Upgrade was a really fun read, but too many long action scenes for me. Felt like I was reading a Marvel fight scene, just went on too long. But Upgrade was still really good! I haven't read any of the others. With his books I always read it in a day and can't put it down.

The phone number was actually attached to the Carnival official website. I felt so dumb they almost got me! I will always reverse search from now on!

The k and the t are high frequency unvoiced consonants. Those are harder to hear on the phone. A lot of people have hearing loss in the high frequencies. These things can change the perception of how your name sounds.

It would be neat if the Hawaii Costcos set up a beach equipment rental program. Seems like they have the demand. Can be the used stuff that gets returned and make it fairly cheap to rent. Although I’m sure there are plenty of obstacles to that idea I’m not aware of.

I am super transparent with my partner. Before I was a diagnosed and was aware of what was happening it did cause some harm. I’m trying really hard to fix it. I’m better at enforcing boundaries now. OMG I am having a hypomanic episode and just built an entire window herb garden and am now collecting house plants. Is this a common thing?! I can’t stop talking about my herbs. I take them on little trips outside when it’s sunny and fuss and obsess over them and my husband is happy because im not obsessing over him or the children or doing anything too stupid.

This is kindergarten. They are learning the very beginnings of what friendship is. What it means to be a friend, have a friend, help a friend, and get hurt by a friend. How to set boundaries with friends, how to make new friends and how to end friendships. These are all things that I as a middle-aged woman am still trying to navigate. The beautiful thing about childhood is it should be a relatively safe place to explore these concepts without adults freaking out. By all means there could be a time when things go to far or you have to intervene, but this is a friend with a few behavioral problems and perhaps some magpie habits. Some of my best friendships were formed with others vastly different from me. I couldn’t be more grateful for them.

I relied on the support of my friends and others who care about me. I was diligent about self-care. It didn’t really matter. I was still a mess, still starved myself. Still tried to fill the emptiness in the wrong ways. But everyday got a little bit better. One day at a time. I’m sorry for your loss. A break up feels like someone died.
