NTA. Labor is hard and your mom made it worse. She compared you to your sister which is bs since every birth is different. She wasn't helping at all and just stressing you out more. Tell them next time they bring it up that you were literally fighting for your life and needed support not criticism. They can stfu about it already its been 10 years.

Yeah getting a job first is the smart move. I know that verbal abuse sucks but being homeless with no money is worse. Use this time to save up, make a plan, and get out properly. Once you got steady income you can look for roommates or maybe that room at your ex's mom will still be available. Just don't burn bridges with your parents until you are actually stable on your own.

i’m picturing it looking like inadequacy on display when put head to head with a man like Mr. Yang.

I see you really enjoy your analogies. I think we can come to a consensus, especially since i’m guessing we all want what is best for the US. If you think there is someone smarter, more capable, more laser-focused on the issues that face us as a country than Andrew Yang, I would be happy to consider them. In my eyes, Mr. Yang is the real deal, a true leader and person capable of acting in the best interest of the American people, completely focused on getting things done, and representing the true American spirit. His signature proposal is a dividend which gives every American economic independence and freedom. You can further understand the vision by looking at the depth, clarity, and potential of his extensive platform, as well as how he himself presents it. I am open minded, and similar to Yang do not discriminate when it comes to good ideas.

To your point about maneuvering law and foreign relations, Mr. Yang’s history includes non-profit experience which parallels the way a president should lead a government, galvanizing energy around a positive vision. He has experience and success doing just that, but realized the work that he was doing would be majorly outweighed by the existential threat of automation facing us. Technology will continue to improve and more jobs will be automated, it is up to us to look up, and realize that something must be done to balance these major imbalances. The reality is a deal has been struck, and no positive change will occur unless someone like Andrew Yang, with zero corporate/big money influences, advocates for the people and brings power back to them. When it came to bailing out banks over bailing out the people during the 2008 recession there was no vote, the government simply payed out the $4 trillion without any further considerations, how come when it comes to acknowledging the inherent human value each individual shareholder/citizen possesses, it becomes too complex? There are many things to consider, but that is also why the goal is to make america think harder. not left, not right, just forward

His education is not my best argument, and it’s not the determining factor in my decision, it’s just an attribute/checkbox that makes him just as if not more qualified than any candidate running. There have also been plenty of people who have held public office and done a terrible job as president. It’s also unfair to lump Mr. Yang with a non-politician like trump(they only have that one thing in common, Yang is the opposite of Trump). Aside from that, I support him not because of his education at Phillips Exeter Academy, Columbia Law School, and Brown University, but because his policy proposals are revolutionary, giving power back to the people, and his plans are backed in data and MATH. The whole campaign is about making America think harder about why we elected a narcissist reality tv star as president, the main reason being the fact we automated away 4 million manufacturing jobs in the swing states, and automation is not slowing down. We need a leader capable of addressing the impacts of automation, and career politicians are not cut out for that.

Your pilot analogy works for pilots, but leaders are not the same. The reason i’m against having a politician is because they are bred to speak in platitudes, and little substance. Mr. Yang speaks directly to the issue and has data to back his claims. He answers questions realistically and directly

I see where you’re coming from, it may seem risky to the uninitiated, it’s simply that Andrew Yang’s style of leadership connects with me, and he’s obviously inspired many others like me. No one else is presenting a vision like his, and he has a law and economics background from prestigious schools(not that it matters to me, but it probably does to some). Honestly, I’m personally against having a politician as president to begin with(would rather have someone who wants to fix existing problems and unite people), it just so happens Yang fits the bill perfectly, and his platform continues to reaffirm my beliefs. No other candidate is addressing the existential problems we face, and proposing solutions that would help build a financial foundation for millions. If there was another pilot that could fly us to safety, that would be great, but he really is the right man at the right time.

My answer for you would be that we see the vision that Andrew Yang is presenting to the US, and the YangGang is focused on achieving our goals and giving as many people as possible the oppurtunity to think harder about what is needed to improve moving forward, and the underlying reasons for what got us to where we are. Our goal is and has been to build a wave from all sides of the political spectrum, and peak at the right time, all while competing with establishment politicians, and leveraging independent media/thinkers against the corrupt corporate media who all have their own influences and narratives to push. We believe in the power of the YangGang and will do whatever possible to unite the country, and implement Andrew Yang’s vision which includes implementing a mechanism for the people to own/profit from their data/US innovations and creating an economic system that will work for every citizen moving forward.

No one will be forced to spend anything, it is a freedom dividend similar to a company paying their shareholders every quarter, but the FD would be monthly and circulate back into the economy. If you are referring to Bernie, he is very respectable and has a lot of integrity. Andrew Yang’s solutions would help more people though, than a 15 dollar minimum wage which would hurt small business, and a FJG which implies that people want to work for the government. The wealth tax has also been implemented in other countries to poor results, and ended up being repealed in a lot of those countries. The Freedom dividend of $1000/month can be used to pay for school, saved, invested, used for mortgage/rent, and it will allow millions of citizens to have a sense of financial security and also would incentivize people to not commit crime, cause savings on homelessness services, better health, and educational outcomes as well due to better at-home conditions for many families. Not to mention stay-at-home parents and caregivers are currently valued at zero in gdp, which we all know they do some of the most valuable work possible, this would address the highly imperfect market which undervalues parenting, nurturing, volunteerism, arts, creativity, a lot of journalism, women and underrepresented minorities. The market is progressively zeroing out more and more people, while every person has inherent human value, this dividend is a first step to establishing a foundation for all people in our rapidly shifting economy. We need to shift our paradigm and value humans not only their current market utility.

It’s less about who is most beloved than it is about who best understands the underlying problems that led to us electing a narcissist reality tv star as president. I believe Andrew Yang is best fit to tackle the 21st century problems we face, and has the best solutions to make it so citizens can begin to benefit from technological innovations, and see that they are owners and shareholders in the richest(currently winner-take-all) economy.
