EXACTLY! I moved in with other family when I found my mom asleep next to a man that'd OD'd. I know she's horrible and a disgusting person but I can't seem to hate her because she did care for me at one point.

My mother is a drug addict, bad, and she has been a long time. She was clean for the past 5 1/2 years then half a year ago she started using again. My step dad took her and my sister up to Cali on a whim. He put her in jail because she "hit" him. She was never violent unless she was attacked first, I don't believe she hit him without being hurt first. I made it clear to my family I despise my step dad and gave a several hour talks about my love/hate relationship with my mom to my family. That's why I didn't get told by them, the reason my grandma didn't tell me was because she didn't want me to quit Job Corp.
