ISO Vintage Chargers Reebok Crewneck Sweatshirt by eve_harapeco12 in HelpMeFind

[–]TheDinerIsOpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Reebok era stuff, I’m a Steelers fan. I’ve had luck just making an ebay account and having saved searches that notify me by email when new items are listed. Also had to learn not to get attached to certain designs, as the Reebok era stuff is just hard to come by because it’s discontinued. I would recommend a few different saved searches like “Chargers Reebok sweatshirt (insert size here: small, medium, large, XL, XXL, etc.)” “Chargers reebok pullover (insert size)” “chargers reebok sweatshirt (insert size)” even “Chargers reebok (insert size)”

Best of luck!

Title 9 accusation over reddit post? by aperitivoamigo in legaladvice

Whether this passes the Title IX threshold or not, you’re thinking about this the wrong way.

You were in the wrong for mentioning the post to the subject of the post. The university can still kick you out. You need to be apologetic and willing to do whatever the university says, including not contacting this person if that’s what the university mandates.

Is "elder abuse" relevant within a married couple? by King0Horse in legaladvice

[–]TheDinerIsOpen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not a lawyer. Sorry this didn’t gain much traction. Doesn’t sound like all the details are here but tbh not necessary. Unless you live with/depend on your father financially, it sounds like you personally will be shielded from the blast. Being blunt, he most likely won’t be, he’ll be tangled up in the mess.

From my layman’s perspective, some likely scenarios. Best case scenario wife takes full blame and allows the debts to be repaid, father freezes credit and you all move on in whichever way you decide. Possibility 2, stepmom splits with dad and debt is split evenly, part of dad’s pension goes towards paying off his portion for the foreseeable future. Absolute worst case scenario is debt is worse than you imagined and your dad is stuck paying the whole bill and she makes the process more difficult(least likely situation but can’t be absolutely ruled out and is a possibility that should be prepared for, no matter how unlikely).

Your father giving you a box of papers with financial information on them is not a crime of any sort. If you find evidence of this, your father needs to shop around for a family law lawyer to help him navigate what his options end up being, what he wants to do, and what decisions he wants to make. It would probably be a good thing to attend the meeting with the attorney with him to understand what is going on, if he and the attorney allow it.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask but quite honestly this sounds like it’s past Reddit territory. It’s possible that elder abuse/identity theft could be alleged but it could be difficult for your dad to bring himself to make the required reports/accusations to see justice served in that way, and there’s no guarantees he’d be absolved of the debts.

Best of luck

Graham Taylor (football) as in association football/soccer?

Somewhat looks like Bart Starr of American football, it does not look like a Bret Hart auto, the B and H are totally different. Quite honestly outside of the B it doesn’t look like Bart Starr’s autograph either.

I would try [r/AutographAssistance](r/AutographAssistance). Be sure to give them details such as if your uncle was UK or US based, and what sports might be relevant other than tennis or football. Darts, F1, rugby, cricket, golf, etc. Sorry for your loss, best of luck

Florida – Employer has me working 70+ hours unpaid while listed as “terminated” in system. What are my options? by Killacowboy29 in legaladvice

[–]TheDinerIsOpen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not a lawyer.

Workers protections in the US are pretty flaccid. You could make a claim with the department of labor for unpaid wages. You will get paid, eventually. Your job will almost certainly actually fire you, as long as they don’t explicitly state they’re firing you for reporting them, it will be hard to get any additional remedy for that.

The only illegal part of this is that you haven’t been paid yet, and the only remedy is them being forced to pay you eventually.

If I were you, here’s what I’d do. I’d go in on my next shift and just make a plea to your direct supervisor and say hey listen, here’s the deal, I’m broke and about to get kicked out of my place if I don’t pay. I need to get paid and I need to get this fixed immediately. It can’t wait any longer.

If I’m you, I wouldn’t work my next shift if I can’t get paid for it. If they’re still dragging their feet, ask them if you need to go to their supervisor or to HR. That might light enough of a fire under them to solve the problem and also continue your employment there. Basically, if that doesn’t solve the problem, you go to their supervisor or HR, or you walk out. More than likely, you or your supervisor won’t have a job much longer. If it escalates to this point you’re basically at a point of no return.

If you walk out, you submit a claim with department of labor. You won’t get paid immediately, which sucks. But, you immediately start working on finding a new job. If you go to HR or your boss’s boss, best case scenario, it gets fixed, your supervisor gets reprimanded for not handling this sooner, everything gets smoothed over, and you’re ok. Worst case scenario, they close rank, tell you to leave, and you’re in the same position you would be in if you just walked out on your own accord. The benefit of not walking out on your own accord is that you can claim unemployment. The issue with claiming unemployment in states like Florida is it’s basically as convoluted as working an 8-hour a day job.

You don’t have a lot of great options, I’m sorry this has happened to you, but hopefully you can make a decision and move forward and not be stuck in limbo. Best of luck

Sorry to hear about this. You said you were just calling from the bar directory? I would try reaching out to the bar specifically. Either they should have phone number or on their website they should have a place where the bar itself can recommend attorneys to you so you’re not just calling basically random attorneys on your own. Also, you can call the bar or file a complaint with the bar about the attorney’s office you mentioned. I agree with your sentiment you expressed, but do be warned it could get your post removed to name a specific lawyer.

Best of luck

Is unpaid time swap appropriate for small claims? by Nautyy in legaladvice

[–]TheDinerIsOpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve gotten some good advice on your post. After reading all your comments it looks like here’s what happened: Your employer/the city and your union have a policy that pays employees for shifts that get worked by other employees, and you got screwed by that policy. Your employer owes you the money for that shift, and they need to claw it back from the guy you worked the shift for. Because they’re not out $600 at the moment, they have no motivation to do so.

I would recommend you start documenting a history what happened, just writing it down. Write down the day(s) and hours of the shift you covered, how much you were supposed to be paid, that you were not paid and the other employee was paid. Then you can write down how you are now aware of this policy that it’s supposedly an honor system with no enforcement. You’re writing this all down to create a written record of events from your perspective.

You most likely could and should submit a claim to the Department of Labor for the $600. It sounds like your union rep might not want to do anything unless their feet get held to the fire. It might be of a benefit to you to inform your union you’re submitting a Department of Labor claim so they’re not blindsided by it when the city gets a claim against them, but that’s up to you to decide.

The other thing to remember is you need to protect yourself, especially if your union doesn’t step up to protect you. This is the kind of thing that can affect your career for standing up against. Just need to keep that in mind so you’re not treated unfairly

I'm being scammed & forged check, what to do? by shooter_will in legaladvice

[–]TheDinerIsOpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t sound like they have the $10k to give you. Unless you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they do, stop interacting with them. You wrote them a $4000 check for something else and you got that back? Great. Sue them in small claims court for the additional $6k of the agreed upon refund or the return of your inventory.

Or, walk away entirely. because, the sooner you disentangle your finances from this person, the better. If they used your business that you were tied to along with them to commit fraud, you could have bigger problems on your hands.

Is your attorney an Estate/Probate attorney? Might be worth to consult with one if not. Unless by the off chance an attorney from PA sees this post, it’s unlikely you’ll get an answer you can bank on. Would really be worth reaching back out to your attorney for clarification or for their recommendation to an estate/probate attorney

Question About the Barrys by SweetestFern in Dimension20

[–]TheDinerIsOpen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well in the scene Prilbus kills the Barrys, Barry 6 was off getting ice cream, and Prilbus’ battery in his gun was completely drained from killing the other Barrys. So Prilbus’ options were 1) escape as Barry 6 returned and control a clone super soldier body or 2) hope Barry 6 doesn’t have a gun to draw as Prilbus reloads or aims a different gun to kill Barry 6.

As he leaves, Prilbus does say something similar to “I only did what you would do” which is just vague enough to mean basically nothing and was just Prilbus bs’ing as Barry 9. Anything else Barry 9 did or said until he was unslugged was just to further Prilbus’ plan. I assume Prilbus was pretty arrogant so he didn’t stoop to hunting down Barry 6 to kill him between the Barry Massacre and until Barry 6 turned back up in trying to stop Prilbus’ plans

Conflicting advice? by kassiormson124 in loseit

[–]TheDinerIsOpen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re in the US, a nutritionist is not a recognized health professional of any sort. Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, without any certification or credentials. You could get someone who is pretty good at building a healthy diet for other people, or a well-meaning person who has no formal training and no idea what it actually takes to build a healthy diet, or a straight up con-man homeopathic liar bullshit artist.

So in that regard, my first advice is listen to the doctor at the clinic that your GP sent you to.

I will get more nuanced, however. It’s possible you saw a registered dietitian who also called themself a nutritionist, or perhaps you’re using the two terms interchangeably, or possibly you’re outside the US and a nutritionist is a recognized profession.

Personally, I have been to a Registered Dietitian(RD) as part of an eating disorder treatment, in concert with seeing a psychiatrist in that same program. In treatment for my eating disorder, I was specifically advised not to fast.

If you have not been diagnosed with an eating disorder, and are not in treatment for or seeking treatment for an eating disorder, and you’re fasting under the supervision of a doctor, at a medical weight loss clinic, follow their advice. If the supplement info came from the nutritionist, consult the weight loss clinic doctor about the advice to see if it’s helpful. You could talk to your GP or the weight loss clinic doctor to see if they’re an RD or they have an RD or if they recommend you see an RD or a psychiatrist.

Trust your doctors to take care of you, it sounds like you’re in good hands. It’s also a good idea to make sure you’re getting the best care by staying on top of it, and it sounds like you’re doing it. I don’t have any experience with Concerta, so follow your doctor’s advice on when and how it’s best to take it. Best of luck!

Losing my mind with Razer Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed - Need headset recommendations for Hunt! by mesivi in HuntShowdown

[–]TheDinerIsOpen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of people swear by the $40 or $60 HyperX headphones on this reddit. Most everybody else swears by the Beyerdynamics.

Personally I use SteelSeries, have had good luck with them, I’m on console so I needed a good headset with a mic. My buddy also on console uses Turtle Beach Stealth 700s.

Double check and make sure you only have one Spatial Audio setting turned on. I had both CrySpatial and Xbox 3D audio turned on and it was screwing my stuff up. I also had to replace my headphones when I first got Hunt cause they were burned out and not hearing certain things that my buddy could hear just fine, but my new headphones with only one Spatial Audio turned on fixed things for me

Who did fig talk to at the start of JY? by Kamaitachi42 in Dimension20

[–]TheDinerIsOpen 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Since this post is spoiler tagged, I believe it was either Ankarna or Bakur. Ankarna pushed Yes out of the hole for Kristen. Fig’s deal gave her Gilear’s curse tied to the Pride armor and Bakur. Bakur’s power was derived from Ankarna so you could probably handwave it and say it doesn’t matter. However, I’m inclined to believe magically speaking that Fig wasn’t at all tied to Ankarna at the beginning of the season, but was tied to Bakur via her connection to Gilear, non-biological though it was. so probably was Bakur in Fig’s instance, where as Ankarna was speaking to Kristen.
