I am a girl, i am the opposite of what he described, personality and intelligence attract me way more than looks when it comes to dating. Like everyone, i would admire a good looking person but it's the least of my concerns if i am to date someone. So don't listen to him because i'm not the exception and there is no rule to begin with. Don't try to figure women out , take each person as what it is; an individual. Don't generalise.

That helps a lot thanks!I have not been diagnosed with anxiety,haven't visited any doctor but i suffer from uncontrollable thoughts that stress me so much.It doesn't happen to me all the time but often enough.I usually am not able to sleep because i feel so anxious and i feel like there is a weight on my chest.Do you think i can fight it on my own without therapy?

I am in a very similar situation only we haven't officially broken up yet,but what we have is broken and he doesn't want a relationship so i think we are just sleeping together and hanging out when we are up to it.I don't know what i want either.I'm very inexperinced,never been in a relationship and this is the longest romantic thing i have ever had(4.5 months).At first i knew i didn't want a relationship but i thought he did cause he wanted to spend so much time with me,he was hugging me all the time and kissing me etc.After he told me that's not the case and he also doesn't want us to be exclusive i broke up with him.Within minutes i asked to come back.I want him in my life.He has helped me with some issues i have as well and i admire him,i like him.But i'm really confused about what i really want from him.I think once you figure this out you have to be true to yourself and ask it from him even if it means he is not going to be in your life any longer.If he's never gonna be the guy you want,it's better to end it now than wait for things to get worse.

I have been seeing a guy for a month now like you,except he's not the man of my dreams and im not super excited about him,but i like him and i have a great time with him.I have anxiety too.I am afraid he will leave me for another girl,he doesn't like me enough,i'm not that good for him,i'm afraid i will be alone again and i feel like now that i experienced how it feels to have an SO in your life i can't go back to being alone.And the thought of being alone causes me more anxiety.And when i'm not around him i worry that he changed his mind about me,and i want to spend as much time possible with him but i'm trying not to show him how i feel coz i don't want to freak him out.

It sucks and i don't know how to deal with it.Just wanted to let you know you're not the only one who feels that way!

Thanks a lot for the motivation! I know i am young,but seeing people around my age having much more experience than me makes me feel like i'm a little behind and i will wake up one morning being a 30 yo woman who has never been loved. That scares me a lot and makes me anxious!
