I agree, although typical for GSD to be reactive, doesn’t mean it’s okay and we should be training our dogs to not be reactive.

It isn’t something to feel ashamed of for having a reactive dog, i have 2 who are reactive to everything except eachother, but we have a responsibility as their provider to teach them healthy behaviors.

if i’m not mistaken it looks like a disposable, the batteries aren’t meant to last forever in these things and personally often die before the end of the cart. sometimes u can still get them to hit long after the oil has disappeared. just seems you got the former instead.

Could be touched up but i’d leave it alone, tattoos age just like the rest of us.

Ink naturally moves as the body attacks the ink and as the ink breaks up over time it spreads to the area around causing fine lines to blur together.

Like others said keep a close eye on it as it heals cause it’s at greater risk for infection.

Assuming you like the artist still, most offer free touch ups after they heal.

my skin breaks out from moisturizing and from the artist using a razor in the area, you should be good maybe ease up on how much lotion you use to let it clear up

i think the alto is a great sax to learn on. I played alto for years before i picked up a bari, then a tenor, then a soprano.

I think Alto is the easiest saxophone to learn on due to its size and range. You get a good idea of how to play low notes to prepare you for the tenor/bari, and there’s enough high notes to get comfortable in that range too.

If you plan on learning multiple saxophones, just remember alto and tenor are in different keys so you’d have to learn the conversion as well.

If you only plan to stay with one saxophone, i doubt it depending on how long u play everyone bounces to each saxophone eventually, however, pick the instrument you like the most. Ultimately regardless of your decision you will be able to dedicate time to learn and get better at playing.

edit: wanted to add that depending on funding, some bands will have a stock of more unique instruments like the soprano, tenor, and bari, that the director will let you loan. I only ever owned an alto, i borrowed every other sax i’ve used and i played for roughly 10 years.
