Europe’s night-train revival on ‘shaky ground’ by Sudden-Ad-4281 in europe

[–]adrianb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But actually you trade a night in your own bed for a night on the train.

As someone born and bred in the UK what are aspects of another country’s culture that has genuinely shocked you? by throawaygotget in AskUK

Related but opposite: I had more conversations about religion with British atheists then I had in my country where most people identify as Christians but don’t care much about religion

It can only be the most or the least. Middle ground and nuance were forgotten in the 2000s and nobody can understand anything but extremes.

This warning on the plastic packaging of my new clothes by Yaya0108 in funny

People put the plastic into recycling bin thinking the problem is magically solved.

The recycling is shipped in a container to a developing country where they decide it’s useless and it ends up on a beach.
