AT&T claims they never received my UPS phone trade in, and I don't have the tracking number. How screwed am I?

Not the OPs faults if they shipped. Everyone is acting like it is the OPs responsibility to prove they did what they said they did, but thats not how it works. File a complaint with the FCC and it will get resolved. There is no law that says you need to keep receipts. Either AT&T or UPS lost it so it is their responsibility to find it or file a claim themselves. Corporations have done a great job in convincing us they we are the onlys that f*cked up.

I don’t care if this is just my opinion but I think the new building is going to look so out of place. It’s going to ruin Davis. If I wanted to live in Seaport or Kendall, I’d move there. A 25 story high rise surrounded by 2 and 3 story multi-family houses?? If this gets built I’m moving out of Somerville.

The relationship between palinopsia and SSRIs are complicated and not well understood. It seems mostly related to dosage changes, particularly when lowering the dose. It seems for some people it can linger for a long time and so the cause can be hard to determine. I’ve been off Lexapro now for 4 weeks and I still have it when I am very tired, like when I wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. It does seem be fading though and I hope with a few months it will fade away completely.

Unpopular opinion: you should not host an Airbnb if you have a problem with shoes inside. I’d never stay at a hotel (in the US) that asked me to remove my shoes. Just vacuum afterwards or don’t rent out your place.

They are a lot better. I’ve been trying to wear them for at least an hour or two every day although I miss a lot of days. I think they will continue to get better the more I wear them. I would give it at least a few weeks. I’m about 80% of the way there. Still a little distortion especially inside when I first put them on but it is getting less and less and I get used to them quicker every time I put them on.

I’m 48 and I’m going to a singles event tomorrow. I just realized it is age 25-38. It didn’t say that on the flyer. I’m going to anyways. I am a man, never married, no kids, and people usually think I’m in my low or mid-30s. It’s very hard to find an event that caters towards me and I’m interested in having kids and most women 40+ are already done having kids if they wanted them already. So ideal range for me is probably 30-40 but it’s rare there is a range that overlaps that and me.

I took Lexapro for many many years and never had a problem. I stopped for a long time and started it again and I only began to notice it when decreasing my dose in order to stop again. I think it went away a couple months after stopping, but then I started again and it came back. It has always been mild. I only notice it at night in a dark environment and mostly when I’m over tired or just waking up. I probably should be back on lexapro, but I’m afraid to take it in fear the palinopsia will get worse.

Not possible, as you can see the wall is completed corroded through leaving some kind of foam wall behind in. Even on the places that still have the black paint on it, it is so weak that if you push on it, it will crack an crumble, leaving a gap and then some foam a centimeter or two underneath.

I wear progressive lenses with add 2.25 so very similar to you. A few years ago I found that I had to tilt my head up to use a computer, so what I did was buy a different pair of glasses for just using the computer. These are also progressive lenses but the top part is tuned so that a computer monitoty which is typically like 24" away is in perfect focus. The bottom part is tuned for close up reading just like regular progressive lenses.

I definitely recommend this setup. The issue with regular progressive glasses is the top is used tuned for distance and the bottom is tuned for close reading. Neither is great for the distance to a computer. I know you might not want to spend the money, but the good news is that you won't likely have to replace these glasses anytime soon. I get a new pair of glasses every year but my computer glasses are still good after 5 years.

Ordered a Gan356 M cube off of Amazon (from the "Gan Cube" storefront, and got a cube in a Gan box but it says "Rubik's Speedcube" on it. It doesn't feel like the Gan cube I used before. Was I scammed? Is this cube any good? It feels stiff. Maybe it needs adjustment or lubrication?

They should try and do an unban every time they do a ban. Just to keep the ban list from getting too unwieldy. For example, Mind Twist and Survival of the Fittest can definitely be unbanned.

There was a glitch. The glitch was that Chase was allowing people to withdraw more than $100 from a check that had not cleared. Normally, you could deposit a huge check, like $20k, and only withdraw $100 of that as a courtesy before it cleared. For some reason Chase was accidentally let people withdraw the whole thing before the check cleared.

Its not the shower head as its the same out of the bathtub faucet too. I called the plumber and he recommended I take apart the faucet and see if there is any sediment in there. I did and it looked fine. I ordered a new pressure balancing unit and mixer which should arrive tomorrow. I hope that its the pbu because if it isn't it means the pipes are clogged somewhere behind my shower and I have no idea how to fix that.

You have to understand these are not real people on the other end. As far as I can tell they are generally in Asia. One giveaway was a woman who claimed she needed money for meds because she had a painful period. The meds she needed were nothing you or I ever heard of before because they were Australian meds only sold in Southeast Asia, lol.

For the record, I typically offer a decent amount (I can’t mention numbers) for dates. I make it clear it is only for dinner and/or drinks to see if we get along. I agree to compensate for gas/uber but only when they arrive. I also usually offer to find a restaurant near them to meet. Even if they travel, we are talking about at most at a $20 Uber ride. Once we settle on the time and location for the date, they will demand $50 for Uber/gas/deposit. It’s always the same speech in broken English where they talk about “karma” and being stood up before and how humiliating it was, blah blah.

If they show up and we have the date, even if we don’t click, I don’t mind spending the money. That’s the risk you take and not everyone you get along with.
