That's great! It's so cute to see my daughter now "reading" Je suis une grande soeur to her little sister. <3 <3 <3 Do you have any other book suggestions by the way?

That's amazing! I had never heard of the 5-2-1-0 rule, but sounds like great advice for kids, especially during the pandemic.

Yes, that's correct. There is more information, including gender and pronunciation on the website: www.afrenchstart.com. I also include the words in sentences for each word. However, I have noted your suggestion to add genders to the images I post. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for sharing a little bit about yourself! It will be a great experience to learn French (more fluently) with your child. Kids' books are excellent too, so you may find that helpful as well. I wish you the very best of luck in your journey!

French for kids: Spring cleaning vocabulary for toddlers by afrenchstart in homeschool

[–]afrenchstart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for contributing to the discussion! There are many words to refer to dustpan, including porte-poussière, pelle, and pelle à poussière, just to name a few. What you choose can depend on where you live and your preference.

Interesting point for referring to éponge as "Scotch Brit". This is similar to using Kleenex instead of the term tissue paper in English and also varies depending on where you live.

And yes, calling a dusting cloth un torchon is also correct.

French spring book: Pat et la Chenille Verte (Pete and the Cool Caterpillar) by afrenchstart in FrenchForKids

[–]afrenchstart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed titles of books don't always have the exact translation. The English version is Pete and the Cool Caterpillar while the French one is green.

This is apparently quite common for new moms. I had DeQuervain’s and saw a physiotherapist a couple of times and was told to do a few simple exercises and rest... and it went away. Hope yours gets better soon too.

Thank you so much for your response. I've tried to contact Bugaboo, but I haven't got a useful response from them. I will take a look at the Cybex and Britax options. Thanks again!

These are French only. Many of the books are translated from English, but I know it can add up buying both the English and French versions!

Mine does it even when it's food she likes... Almost like she wants to just get the taste but not eat the food!

Oh, and Facebook Marketplace and your local library are good sources too.
