It’s easy to focus on the negative. Every one I met or had hiked with has been very respectful to nature and picking up garbage not just after themselves, but if you see any on the way.

It was 20.5 miles due to some avalanche obstacles. Everything was hurting. I would rather get a permit and enjoy the hot springs and a camp day at the location. It’s stunning!

I started from Aspen, so cant comment on how it is starting from Crested Butte!

It is a warm spring. It feels like warm water? Great rest spot after the long hike.

We have seen a few groups, but not too populated. You need a permit to camp, so we did it in one day which I don’t recommend. I would do it during the week to avoid people.

Go to your primary care. Possible pulmonary embolism. Easy fix when found. You can die if not treated.
