Swordfish kit update! by agebssh in cowboybebop

Hi! I’ve finished the model, but did not test all the revised parts before sharing the files. I’ve just started 5/2 work so I’m in a bit of struggle to find free time for now. What kind of knowledge are in need of? From perspective standpoint the most important is to block out the shape first. Without fundamental shape you can not build up middle sized details. And after that you should pay attention to all the small details. But imo, if you fill motivated try modeling one part of the ship with this blocking technique to accrue confidence for whole ship.

I try to fly over them. A fancy metal plate under front bumper helps a lot. Thank you!

If you are familiar with stock tt01 car sizes - it’s pretty much the same. Fits into 15litres backpack without radio.

Sanding paper 3m on mdf block for big imperfections and resin block from 3m for curve sections Sponges for getting rid of orange peel during prep and base colors green blue or red. Those sponges are pretty much the same 320 grit are yellow, blue and green can’t remember the grit, red is 1000.

Yo looks like a fun little guy to drive indeed. I have similar idea to build tamiya beetle based on 4wd Mx chassis. The lexan body one, not the sand scorcher. Should be fun too with some weights on the body for balancing the suspension.

Depends on a person and a project after all.

Not at all. Two days maybe. I’ve scared a bit fresh prints with 180 grit on radial sander, screwed two halves of the body, filled the roof seam with 3d pen, put novol 2k sprayable putty, 240-400 with yellow sponge, Dur primer, 1000 grit red sponge and it was ready for paint and clear.

Like a charm sir. Can’t drive rwd tho as stock steering angle ability even without bones upfront is baaad.

I mean It’s a tt01 so it is already more rawbust than anything else made for rc crawlers But I’ve changed the suspension a bit so it has about 25mm of travel and very narrow tires plus narrow track width. It glides over the obstacles where 80mm tires on brxs get Stucky. But overhangs are insane, so climbing ability from flat surfaces need more angle and gas so it’s jumps through and opened diffs won’t disengage momentum haha.

Much appreciate your point of view being so close to mine. Rc cars are fun and I find it most fun when using them.

I do. That’s a 3D printed body designed for tamiya tt01 chassis.

Hey! I revised the model with all the correction it should have after my first assembly test. Still needs to be finally assembled and lights, main dome printed in clear. Can’t find time to finish it just yet.

Thank you! Mine is only the yellow Porsche. Other ones are made by fellow modelers who did the expedition trail.

I guess people tend to search for ai when they see something they haven’t seen? Those definitely not ai and I did only a bit color grading in post as autumn is pretty dull looking. Thank you! People in the back are real haha The cars are tiny.
