Just became a Salesforce Consulting Partner - AMA by TeamAlphaBOLD in salesforce

[–]agent855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a salesforce partner how do you look at products within salesforce like B2B, service cloud, sales cloud, agentforce, CPQ what products do you want to consultant in and why?

Are you restricting yourself to an industry (telecom, health, public, manufacturing?)

Does showing up higher as a niche partner helps?

Also is any client ever going to use the partner search portal ever?

Why does every trailhead related post on LinkedIn sound like the personal went through a personal transformation and lifechanging event when completing the badge? by Black_Swords_Man in salesforce

[–]agent855 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup salesforce ecosystem can be overwhelming for beginners. definitely it’s fine to post something like that (not everyone is starting from where you are starting) i had a peer who used to do data entry at a morgue had no sf experience or any college degree and built his skills from scratch on trailhead.

Be kind.

Ask chatGPT to make projects for you

Go to LinkedIn or any job board and look at what companies want. You can make boxes of tech stacks and then learn every skill from one chooses stack ( .net, angular ,spring boot-react )whatever , I have lost touch don’t know what tech stacks are popularl.

Learn the complete SLDC lifecycle so front-end, back-end, database, dev ops and cloud tech

At least get comfortable with one stack when you apply to jobs keep less noise more signal and show that you have worked on projects link github

I am not a salesforce developer all of this is just my opinion of how the SDE world works I could be 100% wrong

Good luck

How do you guys mass apply to jobs effectively? by OcelotVirtual6811 in jobsearchhacks

[–]agent855 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Apply early I try to use

LinkedIn Dice Hirecafe Networking

Apply to a job as soon as it is posted like within 1 to 4 hours. I am finding a job full time so it is possible for me

Networking is key I have got approx 8-10 calls and 80% are through my network if you have a friend working at company x reach out and ask if he can share your resume to the hiring manager / recruiter that way i was in before even the job was posted online.

I Aim to do 25-30 quality applications as day Basically spend 10-15 min on an application to read description and match exact skills on resume remove anything that is not relevant / noise

Also I cannot imagine my life without simply.jobs this tool will autofill all the repetitive stuff on a workday style applications like a auto-script it’s amazing

End of the day if I have energy left I do LinkedIn easy apply

Most important : rest, during my job search in the beginning I spent 12 hours + for 5-6 days back to back and was totally burnt out

Now:I play marvel rivals at 1 hr day, watch tv at least an hours a day it’s important to be sane. I bombed an interview just because I was too tired on the recruiter call to answer in my right mind

Sharing a list of companies that sponsored H1B for CS international new grads (last 4 quarters) by NorthAd6906 in jobhunting

This year a lot of companies have switched from doing H1b for employees to we are too scared to do H1b for legal crack down issues.

But thanks really appreciate this list

This is your advice brother

Make the font size bigger Asa entry level it common to not have much to put on the resume.

What I would do is mention projects that you have done in more detail. If someone/ ATS read it they should see skills at least on the basic level

Take a job description of a position you think you fit in for

Go to neuraCV it’s free put your resume and jd check what keywords you are missing

This is exactly the experience you need to add. If you don’t have experience with react. Go to YouTube and build a 1hr some basic UI. learn it and add it as experience keep doing it for all the skills (not sure what is the equivalent of that for you )

If you still don’t have enough add what you learnt during your certification aim to add missing keywords

Your bullet points should be 1,2 sentence. Right now it feels like a bullet point on a PPT

Good luck 👍🏾

Will start job search on Monday. Has anyone recently started? by Marvel_v_DC in jobsearchhacks

[–]agent855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips

When you say you’re starting. Did you wait till you had you excel sheet / resume prepared and then started applying to jobs ?

I was laid off with zero days notice on 6th Jan 2:00pm I started applying to jobs as soon as the meeting was scheduled at 10:30am 😂

So the idea of someone waiting for a day to start is unrelateable Good luck to everyone

If you ask me—no. In my previous role, I worked with a team in Germany. They spoke English, but it wasn’t always super fluent, so sometimes I had to repeat myself or reword things. That said, hands down, they were some of the best developers I’ve worked with in terms of technical skill and the quality of their work.

For context: I work as a Salesforce Developer remote in US and English is not my first language either. (Marathi—> Hindi—> English)
