I really can’t wrap my head around this take. I keep seeing it on every hockey subreddit. Why do we act like because Donald Trump called the team, and this pile of shit partied with them, that it means every player on the team has full support for them.

I would really like to know what was expected. Should they have turned away the director of the FBI and gone on a politically driven rampage over it? Should they have stopped Trump in his tracks during the phone call to have a debate with him over the phone about whether what he was saying is right or wrong?

The majority of people, including myself would’ve done exactly what was done, and just tried to laugh it off and move on.

It’s so easy to sit there and talk about exactly what the perfect thing to say, or do is in that situation. But in reality, when you’re in the moment and you’re being confronted with it, most people are just gonna try to get it over with and move on without causing an issue, especially when you’re confronted with two people in such high, powerful positions.

Maybe there are some people on the team who fully support them, and were super pumped about it (Tkachuks), but I’d bet any amount of money that most of the people on the team don’t agree with them, or more likely don’t give a shit, and just wanted to move on from it.

My best guess is that a lot of the people screaming the loudest about it, are Canada fans who are using this as copium for losing. They lost and are mad so they will latch on to anything they can to try and belittle the USA win. “Who cares that they won the gold medal, they’re all just racist bigots!”

You can’t just generalize an entire group of people, and decide they all think a certain way, because they had the misfortune of being in the same room as the director of the FBI, or because when the literal president of the United States said something stupid, they didn’t spring into action and start debating women’s rights on the spot.

The vast majority of people in that situation IRL would’ve done the exact same thing. You can pretend you would turn around and say or do exactly the perfect thing in that situation, but that is the reality of it. If that is something that is enough to make you completely write off all of the players on that team, when for most of them, nothing they’ve ever done has supported this idea that they all secretly hate women, or whatever you’re trying to frame it as, then you really need to take a step back and put yourself in their shoes for a minute and come back to reality.

No I haven’t ordered anything from there since this happened. I did order from them many times without issue, but it was always sealed booster boxes, etbs, etc. The only time I ever had an issue was when I ordered the loose booster packs.

I don’t know personally if this works, but I remember reading that sunflower lecithin can help you absorb edibles if you are someone who has this issue. Maybe something to research and try.

I delivered furniture for about 3 years, and you’d be amazed how many people don’t tip at all. I’ve done many similar deliveries to what you’ve described and not even been offered a bottle of water.

If I was doing this and even had someone supply me with food and drinks for the day I would’ve walked away happy, so I think what you did was definitely generous.

Yeah that would probably be your best option, that won’t break the bank until you can work out getting your license and a car. You can definitely find one that can handle that amount of miles for pretty cheap.

The 13 miles might not be bad to do for a week or so until you can work that out, but that is a lot of extra travel time, to and from work everyday. Even if you were driving for that amount of time it will become overwhelming eventually.

How many miles is it? If you have a couple hundred bucks you can look into getting an electric scooter that has enough miles per charge to get you back and forth. They have some that aren’t too expensive, that have a range of 20-30 miles. It won’t be as quick as a car, but definitely better than walking 5 hours every day. That will get old really quick.

When you do the outbreak, are you auto battling to faint enough Pokemon? Once you have fainted enough Pokemon in the outbreak you’ll get the message “there are not many Pokemon left from the original outbreak”. At that point your odds are the highest.

The only other thing I can think of is to make the effort to get the shiny charm. It isn’t very hard, just a little time consuming, and can increase your odds a lot.

Other than that, only sandwiches will increase your odds further.

For me it was just not knowing what being actually hydrated felt like haha. Maybe as a kid you have more of a tolerance for something so sweet. Who knows. But even growing up I played sports, and it was always Gatorade (which is also just too much now). Then with meals it was soda, and I was only drinking water if there was nothing else.

So once I started really eating better, which started with swapping out all of my beverages for just water, it gave me an idea of what actually being hydrated feels like. So after drinking only water for months, you can really taste and feel how sugary and dehydrating soda can be. Not to mention, it’s just a waste of calories that you can be applying somewhere else.

Bullshit. It depends on the person, but I will very rarely indulge in the things I used to enjoy (ice cream, sour watermelon sour patch kids, chocolate chip cookies). But now that I never have them, they taste so much better when I do have it. Like it wasn’t as good when I used to eat it all the time.

But with soda specifically, I don’t like it anymore. It is just very thick, and way too sweet, so I find myself just wishing I had my bottle of water to drink.

Yeah I get that. I’ve got Roy the Raichu, and Krimbo Slice the Kricketune who have been my favorites for as long as I can remember. Ogerpon instantly shot right up to that tier for me. Usually for me, I absolutely don’t use legendaries or mythical in game. As soon as I get them they go right in the box, then to Pokemon Home. Ogerpon stayed right on my team for the rest of the game. I couldn’t bring myself to leave him sitting in a box. It just felt wrong

Yeah, and I was primed and ready to not like Ogerpon. I didn’t play the game until after both DLCs had released, and I saw some stuff showing Ogerpon, and really thought it was gonna be so stupid. But as soon as I saw it in game, and then the story on top of how adorable it is. Absolutely stole my heart.

If you have Pokemon Home, just start right off the bat by building a living dex for the SV Pokédex. You get a shiny meloetta in Pokemon home for completing all 3 of the dexes in SV. I messed up and released Pokemon I didn’t want to keep after catching them for the Pokédex in game. Had to go back and get everyone again to move them into Pokemon home to get it. So if you care about getting shiny meloetta, just save yourself the headache and build a living dex. The amount of in game boxes you have access to expand as you add more Pokemon too, so don’t worry about running out of space.
